I have been riding my new Swytch eBike for two weeks now and it's great. The battery lasts longer than expected but I guess it depends on rider weight, terrain and how much power assistance you use. For me (I'm not skinny or super fit), I can ride for two hours and still have some power left. (I'm using the cheaper Eco Kit) I often ride with my 17-year-old son on his racing bike (who is skinny and fit) and now I can keep up with him without breaking into s sweat! The bike feels just as good to ride as before - only a lot lot easier! But should I ever run out of power, it's no problem to ride home using just muscle power. Fitting was straightforward - change the wheel, fit the pedal sensor and the battery to the handlebar, and connect a few cables. Everything I needed was included in the kit. And the support team is very responsive should you have any questions. I only had to contact them about the warranty survey which involves submitting pictures of your kit so they can confirm it's fitted correctly. So if you want to give your bicycle a new lease of life Swytch is a great investment. I might have cycled twice a month before but now I'm looking forward to my ride every other day.

I was really excited to get my Swytch kit. Sure the delivery was quite delayed but I figure that was out of their control (tho as others have pointed out, the communication around this could have been a bit more proactive). First impressions were that it was a quality bit of kit, and fitting it to my bike was easy. It works well (although there's a bit of a lag between starting to peddle and the assistance kicking in, but you learn to accommodate this). I can see why people like it and for many people I imagine it's ideal (a friend of mine loves his). However, I ride on busy UK roads and only want assistance going up hills, and occasionally on the flat, so want to change the assistance level frequently, and it's design makes this difficult and potentially dangerous. This is because to change the 'assist level' (that is, to change much help it gives you) you have to take one hand off the handlebars (and your eyes off the road) to press buttons on the power pack, which is attached to the bikes handlebars. And these buttons are small, and hidden underneath the waterproof battery cover, so you might have to take several stabs to get the assistance level you want, especially if you're wearing gloves. Not ideal, especially on a bumpy road with traffic all around. The other issue I have with it is having the weight of the battery hung from the handlebars. The bike already has the Swytch electric motor in the hub of the front wheel and with the weight of battery added to it it makes the steering heavy and ponderous, so any manoeuvres become more difficult. This design may be okay for people who never want to change the level of assistance, especially if on a bike that was already heavy and they're going in a straight line on flat surfaces, say people in Holland maybe. But for real life use on UK roads on a light bike, for me at least, it's not good. I want the battery slung low and the controls directly to hand (such as a twist grip changer) so I can keep my hands on the bars and my eyes on the road. Hopefully Swytch will offer these options in the near future

I love my switch kit, having struggled with an injury for some time it has been getting harder and harder, but now I am finally able to keep up with my wife. It has really opened up using my bike again.

Our neighbourhood is pretty hilly so there's are plenty of uphill. I'm getting on a bit now, so the Swytch kit certainly takes the sting out of those long, into-the-wind, uphill drags. Easy enough to fit if you plan carefully in advance and preview placement of all parts. If you have a centre-fit disc rotor (as I did), make sure you have a 6-bolt equivalent available.

15months since my purchase, still really happy with Swytch kit. Given my old 90s Orange bike a new lease on life, made it the perfect companion for a once a week commute 20miles each way. Now I can get to work faster than I could on public transport AND get my exercise in for the day at the same time. Good battery life, smooth acceleration and pedal sensor etc. very easy to fit. Always gets lots of comments and questions from cyclists at the lights!

I've had my kit since Feb 2020 and it's helped so much due to a lot of hills in my area and now not only can I cycle up hills with ease I ride much further and enjoy cycling a lot more..what I like is the way you can choose assistance levels depending on how much exercise you want to get out if it..I always go on the lowest level untill I have the dreaded hills to climb that I don't dread anymore..Martin

I'm quite new to the E-Bike world but deceived to delve in when I saw the Swytch Kit at 50%. I have to say I am so happy that I did because this kit is amazing. I leave the car at home and ride my bike (5 mines e/w) because it's just so much fun, and with the power turned up, so effortless. I had read some reviews stating the power delivery could be jerky at times. I have experienced nothing like this. the power is there exactly when you want it and will drive you up to speed that at one point scared me enough to back off. The unit itself is rugged and feels well made. Cannot recommend this enough to anyone out there thinking about getting one. Just go ahead, I promise you will be pleasantly surprised.

I used the kit to modify my single speed. The wheel size is 700c and has a relatively large gear ratio. I find the bike delivers good acceleration with the pedal assist. Once the bike is up to speed you can defiantly still feel the power giving you an additional boost. The throttle feature is quite useful also. Especially when starting from stationary. I would of liked slightly more power from the bottom of of the throttle but still pretty efficient. The battery pack charging light is quire small and easy to miss when it turns green. Especially when the instructions warn of leaving the battery on charge excessively. The battery pack is also mounted on the handle bars. which adds weight to the turning of the bike. I would of preferred to have the battery mounted in some other position on the frame.

Used to commute and so far so good! On the maximum assistance setting when used for around 10 minutes (2 miles) the charging time to full takes around 35 minutes. It would be great to have some type of more durable cover for the battery contact points as the cover is now becoming frayed. Something like a clip-on hard plastic cover would work a treat! :)

Living in the Peak District is a privilege but it also presents significant cycling challenges when you find your not as fit as you used to be at 53 years old! Thankfully, Swytch’s excellent universal bike conversion kit now allows me to enjoy areas of Derbyshire that i could not otherwise reach or enjoy on my existing bike. High quality, robust and easy to install, I was able to cycle away with perfectly regulated and smooth power assistance within 30 minutes. Thoroughly recommended. You will enjoy and reap the benefits.

We live half way up a hill and my wife couldn't get up the hill before, but she wasn't keen to get an e-bike. However, since I bought her the swytch bike kit we have a newfound freedom, being able to ride from our front door. She is now completely converted. If you ride in hilly areas then I recommend buying the throttle to give hands-free control of the power. Otherwise, taking a hand off the handlebars to adjust the power when you are going slowly up a hill can be a bit wobbly, especially on bridle paths.

Slow delivery but when kits arrived I soon had them fitted to our much loved Dawes and Claude Butler bikes. They both worked perfectly first time and we are very pleased with the quality of the kits and the performance.
