“I have worn Lowa for 15 years as after a medical procedure they are one of the few boots I can wear. Sadly with design changes, such as the desert boot, I am going to have to look for a new manufacturer as I cannot wear these new designs as they cause pain.”

“These shoes are really great, they fit my feet perfectly and very comfortable for everyday walking. I think they are quite expensive for non leather but am happy with the price I paid. I will be wearing my Renegades when needing thicker soles and ankle support.”

“I’m on my 3rd pair of Lowa Renegades which are the best boots I’ve had for many years but I find that the insoles start to wear out in just over 6 months of use. Lowa replaced my first worn out insoles for free but I’ve just had to buy my recent replacements. I’ve never had this problem before with any other make. Also, the outer soles don’t last as long as other brands. Having said that I will stick with the Renegades as they are extremely comfortable and the right amount of stiffness for me.”

“Quick delivery. The shoes just are not quite as comfortable as my old ones. A little narrower, so will need to wear lighter socks. They'll keep me going for a while.”

“Bought these to replace the same renegade pair as bought. Unfortunately after only owning for2 years they developed several splits on the boot. But they were so comfortable so I thought I'd risk them again.”

“The boots are good quality and comfortable, however, I ordered 'taupe' and whilst the box said 'taupe' they are definitly brown. This is not an issue for me.”

“First walk in the new boots was surprisingly comfortable for new boots. Ideally I could have wished for slightly wider for my feet. I HAD to put my own insoles in as the LOWA ones were so thin - had absolutely no cushioning effect. Time will be the real test.”

“Lows Renegade High level of comfort from the get go. However after about 40 miles or so I’ve found that the insoles don’t seem to extend to the very limits of the boot. I’m not sure if this is by design. It’s not caused me any blisters and the gap only seems to be at the front. It just feels weird . A 5mm gap between the padded insole and the extremity of the inner boot right under my toes.”

“I ordered a pair of women’s Renegade GTX Mid hiking boots (regular fit) in a hard to find small size (EU 35 UK 2.5 US 4.5). The boots are well constructed with good ankle support. I returned them as they were slightly narrow on the widest part of my feet - the sides were rubbing against the small and big toes, couldn’t wiggle toes. I chose to go one size up (EU 36 UK 3 US 5) and am happier with the same Renegade boots. I would say Renegades are probably slightly narrow in fit compared to similar boots from comparable brands.”

“I love Lowa and am so happy with my little Renegade boots. However, I ordered the Locarno GTX LO Ws W (Wide) for spring/summer and am quite disappointed in the lack of comfort. The insoles are rock hard with no cushioning whatsoever. Makes them so uncomfortable which is not my experience of Lowa products at all. Will have to replace the insoles (everything else is fine), just wish Lowa had thought of this to start with. Otherwise, keep up the great work. This review has no bearing on the service received either which was great.”

“Great boot. Extremely comfortable from the first wear and look really nice on. Grip is not quite as good as I'd wish for - they feel a bit slippy in the wet (this might improve after a bit of time, I'm hoping).”
