“I absolutely love the lights but they were a little fiddly to put together, it would have been nice if they came ready assembled. Now they’re up they make my kitchen look lovely just in time for Halloween 🎃”

Dear Anon, Thank you for your post - I am really glad your lights did arrive in time for Halloween and look lovely in your kitchen! I am sorry you found it a bit fiddly to put the cotton balls onto the lights but hope it was worth it. We cannot pre-assemble all the sets according to customer's requirements (which vary considerably) as this would take too long and push the price of our product up especially at this time of year! But I understand it takes a bit of practice... I very much hope you can now enjoy your light set in situ. Yours sincerely, Kate

“I bought two different bundles of lights and we love them! The whole process is so unique which allows you to choose the colours you want and then being able to string themhow you wish is wonderful! They have made my children’s rooms look so cosy! Would absolutely recommend!”

“Well, the service was fine but the results disappointing so far ! I have a lovely 35-globe string of lights that failed a while ago. They used to light up my bedroom, and they made me very happy ! So I eventually bought several sets of bulbs thinking I just needed to replace the fuse-bulb. But that didn't make a difference - alas ! So then I changed the fuse in the plug. I was so confident - but still nothing. I have despondently handed my lights over to a pal to see whether patient examination of the other 34 bulbs can fix the problem. I really hope so because I love the fact that Cable and Cotton aren't a 'throwaway' company but one where the product really lasts...”

Dear Helen, Thank you for your post. I have looked up any details of emails relating to this issue for you in our customer service data-base and cannot find any yet. If you would like to contact me directly on hello@cableandcotton. com with more information relating to this issue (inc date of purchase of your original set) I can then hopefully be of more help. The advice we give for cables post-dating 2015 is as follows: Can I confirm that you have you tried replacing the fuse bulb on the chain of lights? This is a white tipped bulb and is located at the very beginning of the cable. If you follow the cable from the plug to the first or second ball it will be one of those. You should have received a small packet of spare bulbs attached to the cable and you will need to use the white tipped one. I can confirm it will never be an issue with the fuse in the plug. It may be that your filament bulb cable predates 2015 in which case the bulbs we currently stock and sell will not fit the cable as it does not have a fuse bulb. But I can be of more help if I have the full history of your cable. I look forward to hearing from you in due course. Yours sincerely, Kate
