“Happy to know I can purchase the bulbs separately, just thought the postage was a little pricey for one small packet, which is why I ordered two lots. Other than that I love Cable & Cotton!”

Dear Caroline, Thank you so much for posting a 5 star review - the bulb packs were originally £2.95 and p&p was the same price. Postage cost went up to £3.95 so we reduced the price of the bulb packs accordingly so that this extra cost did not get passed onto our customers. It does defy logic a little though! “The lights make a wonderful addition to my lounge, they make me smile every time I enter the room. In the dining room my guests get to see and smile! We run a B&B Rose Cottage Sorry my photos seem to be upside down!”

“I love cable & cotton lights and have had a lovely string of reds, yellows & oranges slung up in our living room for several years. The bulb string finally went, so was delighted that I could replace it with a more energy-friendly LED set of lights and put the same balls back on - good news for the environment, thanks. The only frustrating thing was that the LED 50 light string was a single cable Instead of a double, with the bulbs much closer together, so the lights don’t hang nearly as nicely and are less easy to festoon. Any solutions?”

Dear Justine, Thank you for your thoughtful post. It is true that the lights are now one long string rather than on a looped cable; some customers prefer it that way, and others like to drape or cluster the lights. We have made the new LED cables much longer; previously the 50 filament bulb cable was 3.4 metres long, with 1.5 metres of cable to the plug - now it is 5 metres long with 2 metres of cable to the plug. This does allow you to bunch the lights together - for example I have a 35 LED cable in my bedroom (where I used to have a 20 old style cable) that I have wrapped around itself to create a 'bunch of grapes' effect - this looks really effective and more festoon like so perhaps you can also experiment with your 50 cable by 'gathering' the lights etc to the same effect. “I have been eyeing up a set of your lights for a while, eventually taking the plunge and buying after we decorated our daughters room and I am so glad I did. I have envy when I switch them on in the evening for her! They are so beautiful, the colours are fab together and on opening the parcel I gasped in delight at how they were laid out in the box, presentation was fab. Well done on your great product, I’ll definitely be recommending (and possibly purchasing for other rooms).”
