Having had my own business, it is very important to let customers know what is happening if there is a situation with an order. Had I not mailed I would be wondering if my order was ever going to arrive at all. The good bit was that Kate replied promptly telling me about what was going on and reassuring me that my order would arrive soon. After all this is the busy time!

I ordered from you a couple of years ago but decided I wanted the new led lights when I was changing my girls rooms around. The only thing I’m disappointed in is I ordered the day before Black Friday not knowing there would be a sale. I commented that I had done this on one of your Facebook posts and did not get a reply. It was a big order as well. So discount would of been appreciated.

Great product and customer service, only thing preventing a 5 star was the delay in shipping the lights. We'd left it a little late to order the lights and so selected the express delivery. There was a problem with availability of some of the colours which caused a delay, we weren't notified of the delay and this caused a little angst in getting the lights delivered in time. Kate was able to change the shipping address and we got the lights with a day to spare. Good result in the end but a little better comms from Cable and Cotton could have avoided the issue entirely

The lights are beautiful and get great comments from everyone admiring them. Just a shame that the led version came out just after as would have preferred them.

Hi Steven, Thanks for the feedback and glad you like the cotton ball fairy lights. I guess the introduction of the LED lights was always going to be just after some people had bought the originals. Sorry this was you in this case. I thought the the cost of the replacement bulbs were high- also they didn’t solve the problem. The plastic is really brittle so we’ve had to throw them away.

The lights are lovely and I'm very happy with them. My only slight gripe is that they are not as easy to get into the little holes as the fairy lights type and so it took much longer to string them all together.

Thank you for your post; I am sorry that you had difficulty placing the cotton balls onto the LED lights. As the balls are handmade it is sometimes necessary to make the hole a little bigger to get the LED disc through more easily. Hi thanks for sending the replacement bulbs for the lights i bought a year ago. Vey reasonable. Less so the postage which was the same as the product.😐

Dear Gerda, Thank you for your post; I am glad you got your replacement bulbs. Due to the fragile nature of bulbs they do need to be carefully packaged and this adds to the cost of sending them out. The final product looks lovely, but i wasnt expecting to have to make up the balls onto the light fittings myself, this was very laborious as a number of the cotton balls did not have the slit pre cut - it took a day or too for my thumbs to recover and at £39 a string i guess i would have expected for them to be ready to go - having said that now they are up they look great and my kids love their new lights. Thank you.

Dear Kate, Thank you for your post and your customer feedback, which is important to us. The balls are self-assembly which does give people the chance to create/change the pattern as they like to, and can be part of the fun. The splits on the balls do sometimes need widening due to the hand-made nature of the product and to accommodate the new LED lights. I am sorry for your thumbs and hope they have recovered? Hi there. Great that you love the lights! Sorry it wasn't clear that you have to pop the balls onto the string of lights. With the bespoke (choose your own) nature of the product it is not possible for us to assemble every order I'm afraid. For a lot of people choosing the arrangement and putting them on the light string is part of the fun. Hope they continue to bring you light, colour and a smile every time you turn them on (although they look equally good with the lights off). Thanks for the feedback. Best - Anthony

Hi Kate, thanks for your email. We already owned lights of course which are really nice in our daughter's bedroom. In terms of feedback I would say that it would be a useful option to buy just fuse bulbs from yourself. We've only ever had one bulb blow but the fuse has gone twice since we got the lights. So, now I only have one spare fuse and would need to buy more (unnecessary) bulbs should the fuse blow again. But, like I said the lights are lovely. Nick

I really appreciate being able to choose your own colours. Chose them online, and looked forward to getting them in the house. The colours match the pictures online very well! Even when the lights are switched off, they're still a great decorative piece.

I had some difficulty with my lovely lights as they died completely. I contacted Cable and Cotton and you suggested that I should change the fuse bulb, which I did and they worked until the next time I put them on. We took out each bulb to test until eventually found the second fuse which we replaced. I have not had a problem since but I was pretty disappointed at the time as it seemed that technology should have moved on since the old Christmas tree fairy light situation. I realise that you have now moved onto LEDs which is a welcome improvement. I love my lights but I did have a disappointing episode!

Dear Catherine, Thank you for your feedback - I do understand that it is disappointing if the filament cable does stop working. The white-tipped fuse bulb is always located under one of the first two balls when you work your way back from the plug - I am sure you know that now, having looked so hard for it! it would be helpful if there was an image of the LEDs on the replacement led cables, as I bought them as a replacement for my own shades, but they don't fit as they are more saucer shaped than the incandescent bulbs. However, the product is good quality (I think - I haven't had it that long), was packaged well and arrived on time.

Dear Joel, Thank you for your comments - the new LEDs are certainly saucer-shaped and fit into the slit next to the hole in the cotton balls rather like a button. Because they are wider than the filament bulbs, and therefore sometimes the slit in the cotton ball does need widening slightly with a pair of sharp scissors. it's a great product, fast efficient ordering service. the only criticism that that i have is that the master fuse blows too quickly and too often. perhaps a change in supplier would be beneficial.
