Awful, a week from ordering - still not received the item; contacted Felco - clearly no idea what’s happened, then received review email - implies it should have arrived by now

I’m really sorry for the delay and for the frustration this has caused. I did reply to your email this morning to explain that your order was dispatched on a Royal Mail 48-hour and it looked as if all was in hand to be delivered. While the vast majority arrive within the expected timeframe, on this occasion it appears Royal Mail have unexpectedly delayed or held the parcel. Unfortunately there have been no further tracking scans today as we had hoped. To resolve this as quickly as possible, I’ve arranged for a replacement to be sent out to you ASAP. I’ve also emailed you with instructions on what to do should the original item still arrive. I completely understand how disappointing this experience has been and I’m sorry it didn’t meet expectations. Please do check your emails, and if you need anything further, I’m more than happy to help.

Sorry, I can't go lower than one star! Having owned my Felco number 8 secateurs for fifty years (along with several otherpairs of Felco's), on servicing them with new blades and springs, I lost the tiny washer behind the thumb catch, so ordered a thumb catch pack in order to replace it. On tightening the thumb catch retaining screw the new washer shattered - a really dissapointing experience, showing the rubbish quality products are made to today, not acceptable at all and a real let down by Felco.

We’re sorry to hear that the washer broke during fitting. This is the first time we’ve heard of such an issue, but even so, it is something we could have helped with. Normally, if a small component fails, customers contact us so that we can resolve the issue. In this case, no contact was made and this review is the first notification we have received. Had you contacted us, we would have been happy to help. Choosing instead to leave a one-star review without first giving us the opportunity to respond is, of course, your decision. For completeness, the order was placed on Thursday 15 January and delivered on Monday 19 January, in line with our stated delivery timeframe. Suggesting that you wanted to give less than one star is difficult to reconcile with the facts, particularly as we were not made aware of any issue at the time. Had we been informed through normal channels, there would have been a clear willingness to help resolve it.

*you sent a part I didn't order - very kind, but useless, as made for right hand secateurs and mine are all left! The part I did order - Felco Adjustment Key - was pretty damned useless! It just wouldn't fit at all around the bolts that needed tightening! All in all, a very unsatisfactory experience!

You sent the new blade and springs OK but not the little thing to unscrew them. That is hopeless, I eventually got the 1st nut undone but had to use a vice, now simple can't get the blade off it is jamb tight on. So not good.

I ordered the Felco model 7 professional secateurs and about 3 to 4 days after receiving them the thumb catch fell off whilst I was using them and got lost meaning that I could no longer close the secateurs when not in use. I contacted Felco straight away and was told they would replace the thumb catch on this occasion but in future I would need to check the thumb catch before using my secateurs. Two months later I finally received the replacement parts. This is pretty disappointing customer service for a very expensive pair of secateurs which to be honest I would have expected to stay intact for longer than a couple of days. The secateurs themselves are sharp but the quality of the thumb catch and the customer service extremely poor. I expected a lot better.

I've always used Felco secateurs and love them because they do a good job and last for years. However this pair of new secateurs keeps sticking and won't open properly on their own which is frustrating/ Putting WD40 on the junction at the base of the blades helps for a bit but they soon start sticking again. I think the secateurs need adjusting so they open and close and work properly but there are no instructions about how to do this.

Hi Caroline, Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it does sound like these need a minor adjustment. You can do this using the small Felco Tool, your own regular tools (Flat head screw driver, small spanner set, pliers), or the Felco 905 (video to follow). We've created our own video showing you how the adjustment is done to your preference. Doesn't sharpen anything worn down on the metal.It needs a rougher side and a smoothing (finishing) side . Disappointed

The driver could not find my house yesterday so it wasn't delivered. I had to ring twice to chase where the delivery was. I'm told it will be delivered now tomorrow. Since it's a birthday present that is not acceptable. Why the driver didn't ring for instructions on finding my house is a mystery. Dreadful service.

Absolutely dreadful customer service, Kyle (manager) was dismissive of my problem, offered no understanding, care or support for a felco product sold which was not fit for purpose and dangerous. Told to contact import company regardless that ‘world of Falco’ sold the item AVOID AVOID AVOID

Thanks for taking the time to review your recent experience with us. We did spend quite some time discussing the Gloves received as part of the promotional Gift Pack. As explained on the phone, we do not have smaller sized gloves available so we could not offer an alternative. Please do not use these gloves if you cannot safely do so. We take safety very seriously here, but do hope you would not put yourself in danger by using a product that is not suitable for you personally. The Gloves offered with this Gift Pack are in a medium size, this clearly stated on the product with a size guide also included on our website for reference. I did provide details to you for the import company as you wished to raise a query with the manufacturer, and this is the best way to do this in the UK. I regret that we could not find a suitable solution for you but hope this reply helps to explain the situation a little better. Advising others to avoid us, is incredibly unfair. We supplied you with what you ordered and we had nowhere to turn with an alternative as we simply do not have small gloves in stock. If we could have helped, we would have. Kyle

Had secateurs for six months. After some light trimming the corner of a blade broke off. I claimed on the guarantee but because this is an unusual occurance my claim was rejected except that I was told that Felco would be contacted to see if they will replace the blade.I am 86 so there is no way that the secateurs have been misused. Very disappointed with your customer service who blocked our genuine guarantee claim for a £40 item item.

Hi, Unfortunately we could not replace your secateurs under warranty as it was very apparent that the secateurs had been damaged in use, possibly dropped. Disappointed with my secateurs - we were advised at Sparsholt college where I’m studying Rhs horticulture level three , that they were supposed to be the best etc But mine are sticking already - after only one days usage.

You did not believe me when I told you that I did not received my felco 8. I felt cheated. Your sales team should check with the delivery company and ask them for proof before insisting that it was delivered. You must know that customer’s experience is very important. Honestly I did not have a good experience with your team. Asking me to call the delivery company and I had to wait in the call queue number twenty and after an hour waiting I gave up. I strongly believe that your customer services can do better, but one this occasion, I was let down very badly. Any way wishing your team a Happy New Year. Kind regards, Fred
