“This was my first purchase from Wilkinson Cameras Burnley. I found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable, all my questions were answered satisfactorily. The lens I purchased was cheaper at Wilkinson Cameras than anywhere else. Would definitely buy from them again.”

“I am a little surprised to receive this in view of my email to you 18 Jan. I am on the whole happy with my dealings BUT am very disappointed with the spare battery I bought for£39 I wanted a spare Nikon but as you had none in stock I was assured by your staff that an Ansmann baterry was compatible. It WAS NOT& when attending one of your courses Andrew said it was the fault of Nikon & would become ok in the future if I kept checking for updates. Wilkinsons policy is that you would exchange the battery if I had all the original packaging. As I had difficulty getting the battery out of the blister pack I discarded it. I do have the backing card plus the receipt along with the battery which is not fit for purpose!! Whilst attending one of your courses I tried to use the "spare" battery &received a message that it was incompatible your staff photograped this message to pass on to??. 2 months on I still have a battery which is unfit for the purpose for which you sold it to me. Clearly I am very unhappy about this & my understanding of the Sale of Goods Act is that the person responsible for fitness for purpose is the Seller. As previously requested I am asking for a resolution to this problem. Jessie Pownall”

Hi, Would you mind emailing support@wilkinson.co.uk with information about the email you sent on January 18th. We are having trouble locating the email which may be why there has been no response. With regards to your battery, if an item is not fit for purpose, which this battery clearly isn't, then you can by all means return it. I'm sorry that this option wasn't presented to you immediately and that the matter has dragged on for such a long time. If you wish to return the battery then please do so at your convenience. I have already let the Liverpool store know that you may be doing so. “On entering the shop I was intent on making a purchase of a Canon 5D III plus two lenses. I was approached almost immediately by a member of staff which, while proves they're keen, is for me far too early. I hadn't even set eyes on the displays and already felt a bit crowded. I politely dismissed the assistant explaining that I wanted to browse first. When I decided to go for the purchase, the original assistant was tied up so I approached the manager. He was polite and helpful enough and explained about the cashback offer on the Canon lenses & camera combos. All in all, very pleased.”

“Nice and helpful staff. Good for digital requirements. I mainly shoot film so don't find much use except for straps, tripods, and the odd roll of film (more film choices and not as expensive, would be lovely.)”

“Dropped into Wilkinson Cameras in Preston to look at a new Telephoto lens for my Panasonic camera and they were very helpful. As well as looking at the lens they had a body with fully charged battery that I could attach it to and use to evaluate the it. The staff member assisting me let me take the system out into the mall where the shop is situated to test the lens and would, he said, have let me take it out at the back of the shop to use in day light but unfortunately it was raining heavily. However I decided to purchase the lens and got a good price for such a new product and a new UV filter to fit the lens as well. I can say that I am very pleased with the new lens and the service and help that I received from the shop staff, who could not do more to help assist me with my purchase, and yet at no time did I feel under any undue pressure to make a purchase. All in all a very good buying experience.”
