I recently bought a used Godox TT685II Speedlight from Wilkinson Cameras. Just a word of caution when buying used equipment from them. Don't assume that everything that is usually supplied with a product is supplied with a used item. Wilkinson Cameras don't tell you know if anything is missing from the standard kit. They only list what accessories are supplied. Therefore you must read the listing carefully and if a standard accessory is not listed, assume it will not be supplied.

Hi Stephen, All pre-owned items have the included accessories displayed prominently at the top of the product, along with the price and condition of the item. The purchase was an Epson Scanner and with the £100 rebate, it made a good deal. Purchase was straightforward online, and the website is OK, some UI issues but worked well enough and we selected the free delivery which states 3-4 working days. Placed our order Wed, 3 Jan, at 16:15ish and noted the website stated "Our order cut-off point for same-day dispatch is 3 pm Monday-Friday" - from that, we would assume dispatch would have been Thursday. Free delivery was advised as being a 3-4 working day service. Wilkinson Cameras states “Working Days” are Monday-Friday excluding any bank holidays. Thus our informed assumption was that the Scanner would be dispatched Thursday as we'd ordered after 3 pm the day before and a 3-4 working day timescale for delivery would expect to arrive Tues/Weds the following week. On Thursday we had a FedEx notification that delivery would be the day after, Friday, however, we were not going to be in on Friday and why we opted for the free delivery time scale. We asked FedEx to not deliver on Friday and they stated it would come on Monday, so we waited and it never arrived. When we got to speak to a second human on Monday we were told there was no new scheduled delivery but they would update it "tomorrow morning" (Tuesday Morning), or we could drive out to their depot to collect it... Not doing a 30+ mile round trip. Checked the Fedex website all Tuesday morning with no update so I had to call Fedex again (a painful process of automated call handling) and was told that it is likely to be scheduled for tomorrow (Weds) but to check the website again for further updates in the morning. And around the merry-go-round, we go... Not upset about the time taken to deliver, we eventually got the item on Wednesday as we'd originally expected. But the hassle to try and sort this when Wilkinson specifically stated 3-4 working day delivery and was given a next day service. We appreciate that may seem to be a better service but on this occasion, we had factored in the extra time and opted for the free delivery and it has been a headache to re-arrange. On the Monday, in frustration, we contacted Wilkinson Cameras and they said they'd update us, but we've heard nothing more. It does seem like a whinge, I get it, but what should have been a straightforward transaction and delivery became a bit of a saga. Also, the email with the tracking link takes you to a weird page on Wilkinson Cameras' website with just the tracking no. on it, odd. If you go to that same "tracking page" on a mobile, don't bother it's borked. See the attached image - some odd pop-up sort-of shows layered above the newsletter pop-up (pre-popped, which is so annoying...) and you cannot cancel either. That's on an iPhone 11 Max iOS 17.2.1 using Safari, Firefox and Chrome. Decent Price, decent co. just the attention to detail seems to be off. I'd use them again, but only if we couldn't find what we wanted elsewhere or for cheaper.

Good Afternoon Stuart, Thank you for the feedback. The order was placed on the 3 Jan 2024 16:09:47, this was indeed after our cut off with the order being processed and dispatched the following day. Parcels are generally placed on a service that ensures it spends less time with the courier thus lessen the risk of parcel being lost in the courier system. On the 5th Jan you had contacted us on live chat with regards to delivery and from checking with the courier the parcel was out for delivery that day, we had let you know that you could instruct the courier on what to do with the parcel which you had done and on the very same day the parcel was returned to the depot. On the 9th Jan you had emailed with regards to no updates from FedEx regarding the redelivery and had requested our help, we had contacted FedEx on your behalf to arrange for redelivery and were awaiting confirmation by the courier with regards to this before updating yourself. Standard shipment is generally 3- 4 working days as a guideline but can occasionally arrive earlier than that (sometimes later). An order confirmation/invoice and shipment email with tracking are emailed to the email provided on the order and we would advise that spam/junk folders are also checked just in case they end up in there. The courier will send sms/email notification with regards to updates on the parcel once it’s in their system so that should you not be in you are able to direct them on what to do should you not be in as our parcels will usually require a signature. Should customers have a specific day for wanting the parcels to arrive, they are able to contact us via phone/live chat/email and we would accommodate those requirements. https://www.wilkinson.co.uk/delivery-information We can see that the parcel was delivered the Wednesday 10/01/2024 at 17:01 and hope you do enjoy your new equipment. Three stars. Would have been five for the help given by Lily but one for the "Parcelforce" service. Five days late which is not acceptable. I came close to cancelling the order. The Nikon Multi battery pack is excellent however as it doesn't contain the AA battery holder it shouldn't be sold as a "multi" pack. Fortunately this does not cause any concern to me. Any recommendation would be coupled with a comment about your use of Parcelforce.

Bought a sigma 100-400c lens from Wilkinson cameras, i have on major concern that spoilt my experience , It was sent via DPD a company which has a bad local review, on the day it never turned up, stating sorry we missed you, i have CCTV cameras no one turned up or gave a explanation why ? i was not happy, after phoning Wilkinson Cameras, they said it could be sent via another parcel delivery company, its a shame they nevver mentioned it at the time. Anyone buying from WC need to explain what delivery service they require, overall bad experience, it spoilt my weekend. Will i buy from WC very much doubt it.

We use a selection of couriers, including DPD, FedEx and ParcelForce. We will choose the courier most suited to deliver the item(s) you have ordered to your location, within your chosen timeframe. We're sorry that DPD let you down on this occasion. Unfortunately, there can be unforeseen delays with any courier that are beyond our control. However, we did liaise with DPD to establish what had happened and to try to rearrange the delivery as quickly as possible for you. Wilkinson fulfilled their role but the delivery company DPD failed miserably! They "mislaid" my purchase which I had to chase twice. This was finally delivered after almost a week, though I paid for next day delivery. The cost of this was refunded by Wilkinsons.

I was very disappointed with the delivery. I was told by the delivery company it was expected between 8 and 12 but it could arrive between 8 and 1800. It didn't arrive that day. I didn't mind that it took a few days to deliver but it was waiting in all day and then having to wait the next morning when it was eventually delivered. If you continue to use this delivery company it would put me off using Wilkinson again.

For example, we know that very large and heavy items are best with some couriers and that some geographical areas are better served by others. Purchasing and service through to product delivery was good however the product purchased is not as good as I would have liked it to be. The lens works, although I need to do some more tests as it isn’t as clear as I would like, and so just need to make sure that it’s not me. My main issue is that this lens is so big it needs to be tripod mounted, the standard size plate screws will not work as the top threads in two out of the three mounting holes in the lens foot have been stripped, so I have had to order longer screws in the hope that they will work, I know the lens is second hand but was not expecting this kind of damage with nothing about it in the description

With regards to our preowned equipment we are very stringent in how we grade them, the particular lens that you had purchased is graded condition D so in good condition however it will be obvious with regards to signs of usage and may have marks/scuffs. The lens is also a very large telephoto lens only really suited for tripod usage using the longer plate due to the size/weight. Customers are more than welcome to contact us with regards to more information/images regarding preowned items. The product itself was fine, no problems there. The packing however was disgusting. I will attach pictures below of the package beaten and broken. I’m extremely surprised the product wasn’t damaged. I won’t be buying from you again due to this reason.

Hi Samuel, It's great to hear that your parcel arrived in perfect condition despite clearly being mishandled in transit. We can see from the "resealed by DPD" tape across the parcel that this has been thrown about or possibly even caught up in machinery within the DPD system. This is why we pack our parcels so well and include lots of filler and protection - to ensure that they can withstand the abuse they receive between leaving us and reaching you. We're a bit sad to hear that you won't shop with us again when the courier has let us down, but we've still ensured your item arrived with you safely! The camera I ordered, i was emailed after 2 weeks to say it was unavailable and could take another 6 weeks to get it. As this was ordered as a birthday present this was unacceptable. I contacted you and got an immediate refund. The emails i sent were responded to immediately and the customer service was excellent. The other item I ordered was then dispatched immediately and it arrived a couple of days later.

Bought a camera and paid for next day delivery , got a phone call later that day saying next day delivery would. Not now be possible. Got a refund for my postage but was left disappointed

Ordered a Cfexpress card for my new R5. Delivery was fast, although the product did look to have been opened before. The film on the card was open and the case had clearly been taken out before. I trust this isn't a used product without Wilkinson saying? Hopefully not anyway. On the whole, a good experience.

We have a very high-end stock system and are able to track the movements of items at every stage of their life with us. That item came straight from the supplier to us and has never been sent to one of our stores or out to a customer and returned. It's just been in our warehouse. If we believed it had been opened for any reason that a member of staff would have contacted you prior to dispatch to discuss. It was checked during a routine stock take a couple of weeks ago, but there should be no reason for it to be removed from the packaging. Our stock manager is absent at the moment, but I will double check this with him upon his return. I hope this puts your mind at ease, but please get back in touch if not or to discuss return options. I’m sorry about the 3* but I bought the Pentax K30 body on-line. Your on line service was good but the product did not meet expectations and I wonder whether the product was inspected? I expected a body in used condition but not one that appears to have received some alterations potential outside of the manufacturers spec. The major alteration being a non standard focussing screen which does not operate well with the camera. The battery compartment clip is also broken. Further to this I also, surprisingly received a Canon accessory which I am returning with the camera body for a refund.

The item was a Grade C which will show small signs of use such as a small number of light marks or wear to the body and grips, but not extensive use. All our pre-owned items are fully inspected so if there is damage or a non-standard focussing screen this should have been specifically noted and graded accordingly. I can see that you contacted Customer Service yesterday and they have sent you a pre-paid return label to send this back. The camera will be re-inspected upon its return and you will be refunded and updated accordingly. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused and please be assured that our Pre-Owned items are usually extremely accurately described and graded. If this is not the case on the item you purchased then it will be addressed. Hopefully you will see that the majority of our reviews concerning second hand equipment are overwhelmingly positive and that this is a truly unusual case. Good price but slow to dispatch (apparently due to delays with manufacturer, albeit in the UK), though disappointed with the lack of communication from Wilkinson. Told would take up to 3-4 weeks, but 4.5 weeks later I was left to chase them for an update. Called and was told would look into it and let me know, but then never called back or emailed. Got here eventually, but didn’t feel like customer service was adequate.

Hi Stephen, I’m sorry there were delays with your Special Order item. Under normal circumstances these would arrive within the 5-7 days quoted on the website. However, the pandemic has caused huge global supply chain issues from materials shortages, manufacturing delays, right through to shipping container shortages which has severely impacted certain lines. Whilst Billingham bags are made in the UK, many of their raw materials and components will have been impacted for these reasons. We have very detailed order updates, so I can see that the team notified you of the delay within 5 minutes of your order being placed on September 24th advising a 3-4 week lead time and you called for an update just over 3 weeks later on October 18th. I can see your item was then dispatched on October 27th which is a little longer than initially stated. I can understand the frustration this may cause and I am sorry for any inconvenience. Had difficulty with ordering online; ordered the wrong used item my mistake: there were two very similar. Lady dealing with online was not very helpful and in a complete rush with no patience. Just kept telling me what I had ordered, never looking at the fact that there were two very similar. Felt like not dealing with Wilkinson again! However spoke to the Southport branch who went out of there way and found the correct item online. All was rectified in the end and I bought a new item, in the Preston shop.

I can see from the order notes that you ordered a C+ graded Pre-Owned item by mistake, having meant to order the same item in an A+ grade. I can therefore understand why you were a bit taken aback when you opened the parcel expecting a mint condition item, to find one with more obvious use. I can see who you spoke to about this and I have raised the issue with their manager and asked that they speak to the person in question. I'm really sorry that you didn't experience our usual excellent level of service. Providing friendly, expert service is something we are usually very good at and is at the very heart of our business model. I'm sorry we fell short on this occasion and I'm grateful that you gave us another chance at Southport and Preston stores and had the problem rectified. Ordered by phone and this quite simple. The goods came within the stated timeframe and fit my umbrella perfectly. Customer service was good but I’d been advised by someone from another company who was super helpful. I ordered from Wilkinson because the same product was cheaper and would use them again.

The availability of the Panasonic DMC-TZ80 seemed to be limited but Wilkinson cameras offerred one from stock at a good price. It was delivered very quickly and the product is complete and functioned OK on my initial test. If I have one reservation it is that the box seal was broken and the contents were not as "box fresh" as I would expect, Is it a demo camera or all cameras opened and inspected/tested before shipment?

Hi Stephen, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and I'm sorry you have encountered an issue with your new camera. All items are brand new, unless specified. Ex-display items are clearly listed as such. If an item is in an unsealed box (as many are these days) then we may inspect the contents to ensure they are correct. However, the Lumix TZ boxes do tend to be sealed and in the event that a camera has been removed from the box or a seal broken for any reason, you should be contacted by our Customer Service team at the first opportunity and given any relevant information, before we send the item to you. Every item in our system is tracked as it moves through the company so I can see that your item was sent via one of our retail stores, but that it hasn't been bought or returned at any point. This particular model isn't one we display as standard either (we display the black version instead). However, it may be that a customer in the store wanted to see the silver version and so the box has been opened. If this is the case, you should have been informed of this - this is our standard procedure. I will assume that the store hasn't fed this information to our Online Sales team before dispatching the item to you. I'm sorry if this has taken the shine off receiving your new camera, but please be assured that it is a brand new camera. This will be looked into and any relevant refresher training implemented. Apologies once again if this caused any concern for you. I hope you will enjoy using and get lots of use from your new Lumix TZ80. I ordered a small Canon lens hood online but was made (by the site) to pay for next day delivery rather than the lower rate for a small, light, low-value item. Then, even though it had no more than 50 miles to come, it took two days to arrive, despite being despatched on the ordering day. Full marks though to Wilkinson Cameras for refunding my postage.

From checking your order we can see the order was placed on 29 Jun 2022 15:33:27 (this is over 30 minutes after our cut off time which is 3pm, the courier had already collected by the time at the location the item was in). From checking the shipment email which was sent on 29 Jun 2022 15:38:36, in the bright yellow box 'Please note passed cut off, dispatching the following working day'. https://www.wilkinson.co.uk/delivery-information/ On 30 Jun 2022 12:21:11, you had called us with regards to the whereabouts of the order in which you were told that you had missed the cut off the same day dispatch yesterday and that the parcel would go out that day on a next working day service before 12pm. You had wanted a postage refund however it was mentioned that if postage was refunded the service would be 3-4 working days.
