“Parcel arrived the next day as requested, unfortunately the items packaging inside the outer cardboard packaging was crushed but no damage to the item I had ordered. The score reflects the packaging only. The merchandise and service would be 10.”

Thank you for your feedback, on occasions outer packaging can be damaged during transit however we do pack our orders very well ensuring there is plenty of internal packing to protect the item(s) inside, we hope you enjoy using your new equipment.

“The service I received was excellent, as was the item I purchased. The reason for my not giving a five-star rating was the amount od packaging used. I bought a lens hood, which came in its own box. This box was then placed inside a large box, which was padded with air-filled plastic bags. The use of such a large box and the padding seemed completely unnecessary, when something like a simple jiffy-type bag (at most) would have been quite sufficient. In this day and age, when we should all be cutting down on waste as much as possible, I find this degree of over-packaging very disappointing. I will not give a 'recommendation' rating as I never recommend anything to anyone, who might blame me if their experience is not as good as mine, for any reason.”

Thank you for your feedback we hope you enjoy your new equipment, with regards to packaging we reuse what packaging with receive from the suppliers so you may find the box size doesn't suit the item however it is packaged to ensure there is no damage to the item inside.

“I needed a replacement lens hood for my Nikon P1000. I ordered over the website. After about a week or so the lens hood arrived well packed in a box.”

“Process of online ordering was smooth. Only problem was that the chosen courier’s (FedEx) system wouldn’t allow me to change the delivery date so I had to rely on a neighbour being in to take delivery.”

“I was very happy to find the item I wanted at a very good price, but not so happy with a delivery charge of £5.95, considering that the item was relatively inexpensive, as well as being small and very light. I had to delay delivery by a day which entailed clicking on a Fed Ex email link. New delivery date was confirmed , but then I received a very dodgy text straightaway , which was obviously not from FedEx , but related to a delivery. Too much of a coincidence, so I think some hacking was invilved . Needless to say, I did not click on that link. Item arrived on requested day, so overall, everything was oretty good.”

Good Morning David, Thank you for getting in touch, we are sorry to hear you have not yet received your parcel. From checking the order, we can see the order was placed on the 20/10/2023 and dispatched by us the very same day for a next working day service (not including weekends), the parcel was picked up by the courier later that afternoon at 15:30. There was 2 attempts at delivery by the courier on 23/10 @ 09:35 and again on 24/10 @ 10:36 however on both occasion there was no one to sign for the parcel. FedEx will have sent you sms / emails with regards your parcel status awaiting instructions from yourself. We on the 27/10 had contacted you to let you know of FedEx's attempts to deliver and to let you know that the parcel was at your local FedEx facility for you to contact us should you need further assistance however have not received contact until today. We are more than happy to rearrange delivery with the courier however if you would like a refund then let us know by responding to the emails we had sent this morning. “Competitively priced products but the Delivery Price seemed steep with no more economic options to choose from. Order and Delivery was seamless. I ordered a Camera Bag - it was good but was a bit disappointed it had a slight mark on one side of it. It's not something that shows up on a photo.”

“Prompt delivery; item as described. Polite suggestion though - this was a simple metal adapter ring for filters, it's not fragile. It came packed inside an unnecessarily large box with a lot of padding - more suited to sending a lens. A simple jiffy bag would have sufficed, especially in these days when waste, sustainability and the environment are watchwords. Here endeth...but -1 star for this.”

“I was pleased that I managed to get a second battery for my Nikon P950. They are like gold dust and so expensive. Was hoping for two but only let me have one without any comment as to whether they are limiting quantities or now out of stock. Very fast delivery by a good courier. Would certainlybuyfrom this company again.”

Hi Lindsey, Thanks for your review - so glad you were able to find a spare battery for your camera! We did only have the one in order and our website operates a "live stock" system so that you can only order what we can supply (no disappointments this way!) - we do have stock on order, so if you use the "Notify me when this product is in stock" link on the product (https://www.wilkinson.co.uk/nikon-en-el20a-battery/) then you'll be emailed when more arrive. Alternatively, we'd recommend trying a ProMaster EN-EL20 battery, which is compatible with your camera. It's a marginally lower capacity, so you may get approximately 5-10% fewer shots from the camera with this model versus the EN-EL20a, but it's much more competitively priced and includes a 3 year warranty as well, so we'd certainly recommend it as an alternative! https://www.wilkinson.co.uk/promaster-battery-nikon-en-el20/ Thanks again, Alex | Wilkinson Cameras
