“I've recently sold piles of piano music to We Buy Any Books. The facility to send the books free and have them delivered to the company by Evri is convenient. It includes the facility to print off a label in the store. Being able to use the app to scan a bar code and then log the book on the app is great but when a book doesn't have a bar code, finding the book on the app's database isn't very reliable as the books don't appear to be in alphabetical order and inevitably I've found that they're not listed. I've then had to look up the ISBN numbers online and manually log them on the app. This is highly time consuming. The app occasionally doesn't recognise a bar code so the book can't be checked and logged on the site. I've discovered to my surprise that some of my books were only worth 15p! The most I've been offered is about £3 to £4. Many of my books were in pristine condition, some unused or brand new. Some were worth £35- £40 new and to sell them for a mere 15p seemed a trifle unfair! That said, it is great to be able to get some money back for books that need to find a new home. I have several boxes of books listed on the app as being "en route". After 10 days, I consider this to be very slow. I'm hoping that the process will speed up soon and the amount offered will be in my bank account before long!”

“The process was easy. The scanning system was very useful to see the value of each book. The collection and payment were punctual. Communications were helpful. I was surprised which books were acceptable and which were not. Approximately 25% of mine were given a price. Sometimes the amount wasn't worth it and the charity shop would get a better deal.”

“Fantastic service! We managed to get almost £40 for some books that hadn’t sold in our charity shop. It’s so quick and easy to use. (Even our 92 year old volunteer finds it easy) Thanks We buy books”

“8days to get there/ then two days got cheque sent out got it by 7 days after. but when asked why was pending they was very helpful, as it was first time using them. so defo be using again.. now I know how it works.”

“I am having a book cull and have sold books using We Buy Books. The app is straightforward and easy to use. It's fun scanning the bar codes to see what can be sold and what will go to the charity shop. Boxing up is easy as is printing off the labels and organising the collection, which is free. All in all an excellent service that feels good, especially as I buy books secondhand from WOB books so it feels like a circular process. I have been surprised however to find that a lot of my books couldn't be sold this way (to the benefit of the charity shop). I don't quite understand the selection rationale. A useful service however and a good motivator.”
