We're the UK's largest car buying service and have helped over 2 million customers to sell their car since 2006. Our simple three step process provides our customers with a quick, easy, safe and convenient way of selling their car. Free from the hassles of private sale and the inevitable haggle of part-exchange. But believe it or not, we do more than just buy cars.

With over 700 employees and over 500+ branches nationwide, we're a pretty big team and there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes.

Absolutely disgraceful. Arranged an appointment for this morning, as I normally work away during the week. Had a telephone confirmation, email and text message to confirm the 10am appointment. I arrived just prior to my appointment and guess what. No-one turned up. I waited 25 minutes and no-one arrived. Extremely poor customer service. There has been no communication since, and by the way I have photographic evidence of me turning up at the correct time!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, Tony. We're so sorry for any inconvenience that may have been caused as a result of the branch closure. This is definitely not what we want our valued customers to experience. It does sometimes become necessary to close branches at short notice, as was the case in this instance. That said, we do make attempts where possible to advise any affected customers of this and assist them in rescheduling. We trust that you were contacted in regards to this. - The WBAC Team
Shocking service! Booked appointment at the Newport centre for 10am on a Bank Holiday, turned up and they weren’t even open. Called their number and waited 15 mins but still no sign of life. Obviously fancied a lie in! Will never use again.

Hi Lee, we're really surprised to hear this and appreciate your disappointment as this isn't the service that we'd expect any of our customers to receive. We trust that a colleague has been in touch with you to rectify this and discuss the matter further. - The WBAC Team
I knew they had a reputation for saying one thing then giving a different price when you’re there but had no idea that they’d misrepresent the quote so drastically. Very unfair to get people to turn up and waste their time on this basis.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We have taken a closer look at this for you and unfortunately it looks like you didn’t detail the condition of your car when obtaining your online valuation. At your appointment, however, we found numerous damages. We therefore amended your valuation accordingly to reflect the condition of your car. Apologies for any disappointment caused, this certainly wasn't our intention. - The WBAC Team
I wouldn't take a wheel barrow for these to by sold my car to these 2 and a half weeks ago and they still haven't paid my finance off left numerous messages at Llanelli and nobody can be bothered to get back to you muppets

Hi Steve, thank you for leaving a review. We completely appreciate your disappointment and have looked into this. We can see that Customer Care are assisting with the matter as the payment is currently on hold, but we hope to have this processed very shortly. - The WBAC Team
This has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had in dealing with a company. Did the online valuation on my 6 year old Audi A5, it was much lower than I hoped but as they say "take the hassle out of selling your car" made the appointment went along with all the documentation, which having taken it away came back and said yes looked at car and "computer can offer you" and then proceeded to offer nearly £2000 less than online valuation for what she described previously as a few stone chips and some scuffs on alloys, I said no and then she said maybe could add a little to that at which point I asked for my car documentation back and left, I had witnessed the same reaction (maybe mine was more restrained) from the previous person who equally was incensed at the revised offer. In short I accept people always want top dollar for their cars but the online valuation was already some way short of book value, to then try at the point of sale to knock off a substantial amount for fairly trivial issues (it is after all a 6 year old car that has covered 69k miles) is in my view shoddy at the very minimum. By all means if you have no alternative, or you don't care what you get for your car then it may be an option but for people who just want a relatively hassle free sales process then this is probably not for you, in my case their final offer made PX look positively attractive, so much for their advertising slogan.

Hi John, thank you for your feedback. Our online valuations are calculated using only the information that our customers provide, therefore if no scuffs, chips, scratches or dents are declared at this point, the valuation provided will be reflective of this. Whilst we accept that the majority of used cars will have experienced a certain amount of wear and tear, we make no assumptions about the extent of this as it can vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle and we instead rely on our customers to describe the vehicles they have in their possession. We’re sorry that on this occasion the final price offered failed to meet with your expectations. This said; we offer a no obligation service which means if the price we offer isn’t acceptable, you are never under any obligation to sell to us. - The WBAC Team
I won’t go in to much detail!, but today i thought I’d pop down to the local WBAC, I listened to four of your customers being ripped off with same spiel, let’s put the documents in the boot - ah there’s a dent there oh there’s a bit of a scratch there - oh do you park it under trees! - all we can give you is this now - followed by ill see what more I can get for you - the person walks away 10 minutes later the person comes back and offers a tiny bit more - this happened on all four occasions, I was surprised the person didn’t clock me watching and on a few occasions laughing it was better than a faulty towers scene unfortunately not for the customers, they pray on some people desperate to sell their car for reasons I don’t know, but Phil stop endorsing a company that has been deceiving customers for years and hiding behind a smile and false promises

Had my Mitsubishi l200 internet price at £3300 BY WBACC on 31st March after being recommended by a friend then after purchasing my new vehicle I wasn't in a big rush to sell so called into the local Sheffield branch 2 weeks later to be told £2200 but because it had a few rear end scars they offered £1200, I sold it for £4000 privately. THEIR LOSS AVOID HAHA

Hi Neil, thanks for the feedback. The vehicle market changes on a regular basis and we therefore update our prices every day, based on current market conditions. We have a team of Pricing Analysts who are constantly monitoring the value of used cars. They track various factors such as demand, availability of a particular model and current sale prices we are experiencing for such vehicles. We are constantly adjusting our valuations in response to the fluctuations and we therefore offer a 4 day guarantee period on our valuations as this protects customers against any changes in the market during this period. In addition, your online valuation is based on the information that you provide us with. It looks like you failed to detail the damages that you've mentioned in your review and this impacted your valuation as we're sure you can appreciate. We don't claim to offer the best price in every instance, but what we do offer is a safe, quick and hassle free alternative to selling your vehicle. If you are looking to secure the most amount of money, selling directly to a private buyer can often help to achieve this. - The WBAC Team
i got an initial valuation of 10250 which i didnt respond to. With in a week or so the valuation was raised to 10415 but by then the mileage i had original quoted had gone up by a 1000 miles or so. i took the car to wbac and their estimator after inspection gave me a price of 9450. My car had a private reg which i had removed and was sent a new v5 within the 4 working days but when i contacted wbac their branch was closed for 2 days. When i took my car back to them the price had fallen to just over 8000 a difference of almost 2500 from their initial quote and 1400 less than the quoted price after inspection. DONT use them unless you want to be ripped off

Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately, if you failed to update your online valuation with your new mileage, we'd need to record this and amend accordingly at your appointment as we're sure you can appreciate. We're sorry if your local branch was closed when your new V5 arrived and that you hadn't previously placed your private plate on retention in time for your initial appointment. With over 375 branches, most customers have a number of local branches that they can book in at in order to achieve their online valuation within their 4 day Price Promise and we apologise if this wasn't possible for you on this occasion. - The WBAC Team
AVOID! Customer service and interaction shockingly poor at the York branch. It felt like he'd got out of the wrong side of bed or we'd offended him by bringing the car. Tried knocking the car value down by over £1000 despite it being in really good condition. AVOID!

Booked a appointment, had a call back from webuyanycar to confirm appointment and sent confirmation text of time and address. Turned up 10 mins before app time and waited a further 10 mins for no one to show up and office closed. disgusting service Not what i expected but after reading the reviews i feel i have had a lucky escape by all accounts. Avoid at all costs time wasters. Cant believe i've had to give this 1 star to just get a review up. NO stars from me.

Hi Umsy, apologies for any disappointment caused. We have taken a closer look and can see on our systems that we did indeed call you. We spoke on the phone with yourself and confirmed that whilst carrying out some post-sale checks, your vehicle was flagged due to having a recent owner change. Due to this, we needed some additional paperwork showing proof of purchase/payment from a trusted dealership. Unfortunately as you were unable to provide us with this, we have been unable to proceed with the sale but have contacted you to discuss the matter in full. - The WBAC Team
Very disappointed with difference between online price and actual price, approx 35% difference. Sold to a garage near me for what they originally offered.

Hi Andy, thanks for your feedback and apologies for any disappointment caused. We've taken a closer look and can see that at your appointment we recorded a missing key, body shop repairs required for 4 panels, scratched wheel trims and a dent covering 30% of a panel at the rear of your car. Unfortunately you didn't detail these factors when obtaining your online valuation and as a result, we had to amend your valuation accordingly based on such findings at your appointment. - The WBAC Team
The customer service was pathetic extremely poor but I guess this is what you get from a company which has ignorant management the staff that interview new entry must be so stupid.....I strongly advice NOT to use this company they steal money no knowledge of cars at all, for those people a BMW is just like a Ferrari...please

Hi Eddie, thanks for your feedback. We can see that payment was delayed by 3 days due to a HPI investigation on the vehicle. We believe this to be fully rectified now and we apologise for any delays experienced on this occasion. - The WBAC Team
Total waste of time. Booked an appointment on line, no problem and the price was acceptable, so took the van to the local branch in Gloucester and was met by a very nice lady Jess who explained the process, the van was de valued which I accepted but couldn't complete the sale at the time as the lease valuation had expired, I was told that if I returned within 4 days with the correct paperwork the price offered would be paid. 3 days later with the new lease valuation in hand I returned to the Gloucester branch to be met by another lady or should I say kept waiting for over 20 minutes as the lady tried to deal with another customer (who walked away without selling his vehicle) only to be told that she had to do the whole valuation again even though the van had only been driven less than 10 miles, she proceeded to down value the van even further at which point I told her to stop and asked about the 4 day price agreement, to which she said that didn't apply. So in summary We Buy any Car do not stick to their T & Cs unless to accept the price on your first visit. It makes there advert look like a bit of a joke, "no stress" my ........not very impressed. I emailed to complain and was told that I would have a reply in 24 -48, 96 hours later and still waiting.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, we appreciate your comments and apologise for any disappointment caused. Please note, you'll receive an automated response confirming that our timescale is 3 days. so we're unsure on who advised 24 hours and apologise for any conflicting information given. Unfortunately we did have to amend your valuation as at your appointment we found numerous bonnet chips, a 10cm+ scratch on your bumper, a scratched quarter panel and a previous repair with noticeable defects. We’re really sorry if the amount offered wasn’t what you had hoped for. With that said, we do offer a no obligation service, meaning if there’s any aspect of the service, that isn’t right for you, you’re under no obligation to sell to us. - The WBAC Team
Booked my appointment online, which was very easy. Turned up for my appointment, on time and will all my documentation to find the office closed. I left a message on their voicemail and waited 30 mins, but still nobody turned up or had the courtesy to return my call. The booking exprience last week was great, everything else has been a shambles today!

Hi Chris, thanks for your feedback. We've reviewed your details and can't see that they have ever been used to obtain an online valuation from ourselves. Due to this, we're a little confused by your comments as it doesn't appear that you've actually used our service, but appreciate your feedback nonetheless. - The WBAC Team
Why make a false online offer then slash the offer by half when you turn up. Car was as dersciribed but with age related minor scratches the price was halved.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We can see that when you obtained your online valuation, you didn’t detail the condition of your car. and also entered full service history which we later found to be only part. At your appointment, we recorded an illuminated service light, a missing key and 6 scratches in different areas, including a 10cm+ bumper scratch. As such, we amended your valuation accordingly, based on our findings. We’re sorry that on this occasion the final price offered failed to meet with your expectations. This said; we offer a no obligation service which means if the price we offer isn’t acceptable, you are never under any obligation to sell to us. - The WBAC Team
