“Don’t be fooled by the lovely showroom! This company is completely unorganised! They were quick to take our money and we were informed the furniture we purchased was in stock at the warehouse! We got no confirmation email even though we gave our email address several times and we had to call back into the showroom to ask where the warehouse actually was as we were sent away with no information, only to then be told the warehouse is closed on a weekend! We then hired a van out to go collect our furniture through the week but we were told that the cabinet we ordered actually wasn’t in stock! A waste of a morning off work! Frustrating! We were then told due to the confusion and as an apology our furniture would be delivered a couple of weeks later, only to find on the promised date it hadn’t appeared again and when i chased it up I was told that it was to be delayed further! I then cancelled my order! Such a shame as there are some lovely things in the showroom and I did want to purchase more however I would not want to deal with these people again! I would not recommend this place to anyone!”

“Received our two new Harris tweed and leather Chessington sofas and foot stool today from the Vintage Sofa Company, absolutely love them and can't recommend the company highly enough! Excellent experience all round from the initial showroom visit discussing fabrics and leathers through to ordering, especially as we chose bespoke fabric combinations on a pair of 'matched opposites'. Delivery was punctual, professional and made it look easy getting the two sofas into the room. The sofas are solid and ooze quality and it's great being able to benefit various British businesses with the purchase from the family run Vintage Sofa Company, the local skilled craftspeople building the sofas and even the Scottish (Harris) Tweed makers!!”

“Jowler Mill is a unique, personalised shopping experience. There's a wonderful selection of exquisite furniture and accessories that you won't find anywhere else. Go there when you have plenty of time to browse - its not the sort of thing you want to rush. We cannot speak highly enough of the shopping, ordering and delivery service and we were thrilled when our furniture arrived. It's beautiful, well-made, comfortable and (I think) very stylish.”

I purchased online, I hadn’t physically seen the furniture and was very pleased with the quality and service. Very helpful staff on the phone and the delivery arrangements worked well too. “The vintage sofa co was recommended by a friend who spoke very highly of both the customer service and the quality of the furniture and my goodness they were right! From the first day we visited the mill for “just a look” to the day we got delivery of our sofa (and beyond!) I can’t recommend them enough. We absolutely love our chessington chaise and winged chair. The quality is unreal!! The day out sofa was due for delivery was the day it snowed and we didn’t think it would happen but it did!!! These guys are definitely worth a visit, they know their stuff and as an added bonus you get coffee and cake!! Thank you guys, you have enabled us to completely change the ambiance of our lounge and we absolutely love it!”

“We couldn’t be more happy with our sofas - excellent quality and at an extremely reasonable price. The service was just fantastic - we got fabric samples really quickly, the sofas were produced beautifully in our own choice of fabric and there was frequent, clear communication throughout. Everything was reliable and clear and to schedule. We wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again and are already recommending them to the many people who are admiring our sofas. We only wish every company we order from was this good!”

“We visited the Mill after many helpful messages answering our queries. We made a special trip up from Bristol and it was amazing! Beautiful surroundings, made to feel very welcome and not at all rushed. We ended up with the sofa we went for and another one we fell in love with whilst there. Delivery arrived when it should have and plenty of online information about setting up the sofas. Really great quality British made sofas at brilliant prices. Couldn’t find anything like it elsewhere and a personal service to boot. Very impressed.”

“What a find, The Vintage Sofa Company is such an amazing place, there’s not just sofas and chairs to fall in love with but anything you might need to furnish your living rooms, The mill is such a stunning building in a beautiful valley. It’s a family run business who go above and beyond to help you. Unfortunately I had issues with the manufacturer but The Vintage Sofa Company went above and beyond to sort which they did. Alison who works in the office is also such a lovely lady that helped enormously she’s a credit to the company. I’ll definitely be returning to choose a new rug for my living room.”
