“Wind your way through postman-pat-like lanes in Halifax and cut into the side of a hill is a converted mill, the interior of which is a wonderland of whimsical decor, eccentric and formal furniture and glorious materials. Be prepared to spend many hours there - we travelled from faraway as their website was soooo much better than the standard fare. George and the team are fantastic, the communications were brilliant (check what they have before you go, they'll do what they can prior to arrival) and the sofas were delivered - free of charge - within 10 days. We will definitely be back for a matching footstool, we can't recommend them enough!”

“Fama Mondrian Recliner Armchair Scrolling on social media and fell in love with this beauty but was really worried as I live in Northern Ireland and have very narrow doors on my house. Becca could not have been more helpful doing online calls so I could see the chair get an idea of what it was like to sit in, no question was too much bother and was answered promptly unlike other businesses I have been using. Becca arranged delivery and it was very fast and easy - just got through my door by a whisker as promised. I am so delighted with chair and service and will be telling friends. “My partner and I visited The Vintage Sofa Co yesterday the 22 August, just over a couple of hours from North Wales, into beautiful Yorkshire and BOOM we are there! After salivating over their stock online, and having a general idea from reading other reviews that it was a gorgeous showroom, I knew it was going to be lovely, but the reality far exceeded any expectations I had. We were met by a lovely member of staff called George, who firstly welcomed us with a brew and a really cute piece of cake. George then showed us around the layout of the 2 floor gorgeous showroom, mentioning that the upstairs was more structured whereas downstairs was a a lot to feast on for the eyes as it was a bit more chaotic. We thought it was a delight! I have never seen so many absolutely stunning pieces, extremely well laid out with every little detail taken care of. There are ipad's in every display to look at different options, size etc, fabric swatches on every sofa, with tape measures everywhere, which is what people always forget! It's the amazing attention to detail and obviously the fantastic stock which just makes this place an absolute dream! So so many items to drool over from the obvious, to rugs, ornaments, pictures, lights, you get the idea..its an absolute bohemian dream come true..an "Eclectic Emporium" of stunning pieces..needless to say I will be back to buy more! “I had been debating on whether to order a sofa online without actually seeing it in person, but couldn’t resist as they looked so good. This is definitely the best sofa I have bought, as it’s made to order we had to wait a while but worth it. Beautiful colour purple velvet, the quality is amazing, deep feather filled cushions, its everything I wanted it to be.”

“Very safe to order on line in seen. My Hartington sofa covered in leaf green cord velvet is perfect. Sturdy, made well, sprung base, price amazing too. Delivery went very smoothly. It’s just beautiful. I was looking at sofas up to £3,000 but you could get better than this sofa under a £1,000!!! I assure you. Staff were lovely in communication skills. Samples sent (with tea/coffee and cookies) lovely touch. Quality all the way. I commend you all from start to finish.”

George (our host) was brilliant,engaged enough to show he was helpful, knowledgeable and approachable but then left us to meander through the amazing set up. “Who says travelling 250 miles up North to purchase a sofa is too much!!!! When I found the sofa of my dreams online - aptly named "Dopamine" in Opulence purple velvet, I didn't let the 5 hour journey from Surrey daunt me. And I'm so glad we did venture because not only did we purchase the sofa but what an experience! The mill is incredible, the staff were wonderful and I could have spent hours (and £££'s) wandering around. I can't wait for delivery and thank you George for being so welcoming.”

“Saw a sofa online at the vintage sofa company so decided to drive the 100+ miles to see and try in person. The showroom is a wow! Loads of choice of sofas and accessories. A warm welcome and a guided tour from George led us to the sofa. It was exactly what we had been looking so long for. The sofa is well made, sturdy and the fabric is so luxurious. We were left to take our time over the decision no hassle from George who was available to answer queries- thank you George. We have ordered and excited for delivery. We even ordered an accessory that we we saw and fell in love with. The showroom is amazing with a huge choice of designs fabrics and accessories to browse and choose from, this place is a destination action in its own right. What a great example of a small British company offering good quality, competitive pricing and good old fashioned service.”

“So I’ve been drooling literally for years iver vintage sofa company sofas and chairs and finally I own some! And they are gorgeous and decadent and the most comfortable. We had such a awfully hard and old sofa that had been with us house move to city move and now having sofas we feel proud of is great and I love seeing friends sink into them and my kids love them … maybe too much as I’ve told them they aren’t for bouncing on 😂 ordered a sofa and a sofa bed. What was great is George was so helpful and gave great advice about sizing and feel and whether to go for one with more cushions. I really wanted the same Opulence colour in the sofa but it didn’t come in that and they recently stopped doing requests but I said I was willing to wait as I’ve waited this long I wants do my what I wanted. So George made it happen and I was told for the sofa bed a long lead time of September only to find it arrive July!!! Honestly service and quality has made the wait to finally get sofas from here worth it - next is a chair !!”

“Love the Vintage Sofa Co.!! I got my Wilbur 3 seater sofa from them and I am absolutely delighted with it. Rebecca and Sophie were brilliant in helping me get it just right!! One snall note - please check the, seat height of your sofa or chairs (i forgot to and mine was a bit low) However, i got taller legs and now all is PERFECT. Thank you Vintage Sofa Co.! 👌”

“Very nice furniture, lovely style and good build quality. We got a sofa, snuggler, armchair, coffee table and two rugs and it's all excellent. The showroom is worth a visit as it makes a fun trip to visit. The customer service was also excellent, we had a bit of trouble working out what could fit into our flat and George was very helpful.”
