“Three families enjoying Vintage Sofa Company furniture.. When looking to replace our furniture we trusted the judgment of a good friend and took the long Drive from Lytham St Annes to Deepest Yorkshire and visited Vintage Sofa Co on the outskirts of Halifax. We visited our son Brendan and Family in York so stopped of en route.. The Showroom is over 2 floors ( lift available ) in an old Mill in what a I call an enchanted Valley it’s fabulous.. you drive down to Jowler Mill sited in a woodland with a abundance of wild life but we were greeted by a not so wild ginger friendly affectionate cat that proceeded to show us the way to the entrance ( have they taught the cat to do that?) On entering one of my many chins just dropped.. The mill was packed with quality furniture and furnishing displayed with a talented designer flare.. wow wow wow..we are then greeted by the mother of the family ( she Looked .. “Nor But a Lass”) as they say round here….she invited us to look around at our leisure and if we needed any help just call her.. it was like chatting to a family member no pressure at all. After being asked if would like-a coffee or Tea and home made brownie that looked and tasted amazing we wandered around and fell in love with the Harris Tweed and soft Anline Leather the rest is history. When our son moved house he choose Vintage Sofa also, we met the family at the mill one very warm Saturday afternoon in summer of 2022 the children were spoilt by the lovely family and allowed to sit on the display sofa without any supervision even had a photo shoot kneeing on the floor next to displays.. again the furniture looks great and is definitely kid proof.. After 3 months delay from builders Today 23/01/2024 A Long awaited delivery of our Daughters Furniture from Vintage Sofa Company. Large Corner Sofa plus a Two Seater Sofa and a large deep buttoned circular Footstool in Deep old Velvet and a beautiful Teal Colour looks sensational. The Delivery company kept the furniture and delivered it with the utmost care. They unpacked it and placed it in the exact place the customer requested then proceeded to remove all the packaging from site for recycling. First class service thank you ASB..”

“d ordered two beautiful zebra print chairs a little while ago from the Vintage Sofa Company however, after hearing such positive reviews from other customers who had actually visited the showroom, we were very eager to see it in person. During the 2023 Christmas holidays, we made the journey from just outside of Newcastle down to Halifax. The journey should’ve actually taken us approximately two hours. However it ended up taking 3 1/2 due to the horrendous traffic. We were absolutely shattered when we got to the showroom however all the misery of the journey soon disappeared as we were greeted by warm and welcoming staff. We were offered hot drinks and a huge slice of gorgeous Rocky Road. We were made to feel so welcome and the arduous journey was soon forgotten. How incredible the showroom is, is almost impossible to describe, you really have to experience it in person. Once you open the front door, it’s as if you’ve fallen down the rabbit hole and have entered a magical world; like Alice in Wonderland you are surrounded by the beautiful and unusual. The sheer size of the place cannot be captured accurately in photos, it’s huge. The wonder and beauty just goes on forever and ever. It’s such an inspiring space. We actually spent 2 1/2 hours there and to be perfectly honest could’ve spent even longer as I still don’t feel that we saw everything. We left triumphant and utterly content with a gold drip coffee table, gold drip mirror and a purple quad sheepskin rug. A leopard print and zebra print sofa are on order and the excitement I feel to receive these is beyond palpable. Would I spend almost 6 hours in the car to visit again? Damn right I would, in a heartbeat 👌🏼. I cannot recommend this family business any more highly. Exquisite products, amazing staff and the customer service is second to none. To support small UK businesses in this current financial climate is so important; when you buy from a business like this you are literally helping to put food on people’s tables, not lining the pockets of corporate fat cats and buying champagne for their luxury yacht. If you get the opportunity you absolutely must visit the showroom, it will change your life 👌🏼.”

“We visited this shop as I has seen lots of lovely sofas online and Facebook. We were in middle of house renovation and ordered the lovely chessington tweed sofa chair and a Oscar wingback and footstool. A few weeks later we returned and added a rug and tripod lamp to our order. Delivery came in the agreed time and we have been delighted. Since our living room has been completed we have bought further rug and chair for dining room. I absolutely love visiting the shop. The family are all so welcoming and passionate about the goods they sell. I am always complimented on my decor and have recommend vintage sofa company to anyone that will listen to me”

“Last year I bought the lovely Oscar chesterfield sofa and chair in orange marmalade. I ordered the sofa online, yet prior to this I’d ordered the albert sofa which we felt was too small. It wasn’t a problem exchanging the sofa which we were pretty relieved about. We received the new one just in time for Christmas. I’d definitely order from the vintage sofa company. The cushions ‘autumn bliss’ are fabulous too and match perfectly with the orange sofa.”

“Visited vintage sofas today. 5 hour round trip, worth every mile. Beautiful furniture, beautiful fabrics and for me it was like taking a child to a sweetshop. I was in my element. Found the perfect corner sofa and love seat, with some gorgeous cushions. Placed an order with George, who was very professional, non intrusive who gave us time to think and make up our mind before making some fabulous purchases. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants quality, beautiful furniture at a price that reflects on the quality, but still at a reasonable price. So glad I found this company through a Google search. Thank you.”

“Last Christmas my husband asked me what I'd like as a present, I replied a beautiful living room and a sofa I could relax on and snuggle up with my boys. After months of searching and alot of sitting on sofas we came across Vintage Sofa company. The boys found their spots and almost asleep after a hot chocolate and cake the sofa was found. A lovely family run company in the heart of Yorkshire with staff who cared about finding the right sofa for our family, from the showroom to the sofa being delivered the after care has been excellent. You have made one Mum, three boys, my husband and a little sproodle called Cookie very happy xxxxxx”

“An absolute gem of a place nestled away in the beautiful West Yorkshire countryside. As soon as you walk in to Jowler Mill you are greeted with warmth and an abundance of choice. It really is a treasure trove filled with quality goods. The way it is set out challenges the norm and encourages you to think differently about interior decor. The service is warm and friendly without being pushy you are given time to look around and the offer of a hot drink and delicious traybake are a nice touch. The staff are on hand if needed. We ended up opting for the Howard 3 seater and chair in leather complimented with a Selfridges teal peacock and butterfly accent chair and foot stool plus matching scatter cushions. The purchase was finished off with a fabulous orchid rug. This was all ordered in November with no guarantee of Christmas delivery but they would try. Once I got home I realised I would like to add another item to the order I phoned and this was added without any fuss. We were delighted to receive confirmation that everything was ready for delivery before Christmas eventually receiving it Saturday 23rd. The delivery guys were great and kept us informed as to when they would arrive and were bang on time. The quality of the products are fantastic and excellent value for money. Thank you Vintage Sofa Co. We will definitely be back to shop with you again.”
