Efficient Service, however too many calls to office a few months before to try and get us to have job done sooner, also additional costs on invoices not stated on phone

Your comments are very important to us and all feedback is acknowledged and dealt with accordingly. I can see from looking at the account you received a call from our Customer Relations Department to resolve the issue with the  additional services. I am sincerely sorry you received so many calls to move your appointment, on occasion the engineer will have an appointment that cancels, we need to then find him another job to attend for that day, however you should not have received so many calls and this will be addressed with the relevant department. Good but.....The service is good but for the last two years the original appointment has not been kept and the engineer turns up early. This year we have had a lot of work done in one of the units and some of the portable appliances had been packed away. I was on holiday when the engineer arrived early and therefore these pieces have missed the test! I will have to call in someone to do these pieces outside the blanket test we do annually.

The engineer came at the wrong time - not his fault (had been given the wrong information), so was sent away. The appointment was rescheduled immediately. The attending engineer at the next visit struggled with communication. He tested things that we didn't ask for (chargeable items) and didn't mention when we had reached the agreed limit of items to be tested so the invoice came as a surprise. I was also asked to rate the engineer whilst he was standing in front of me. So that was a of waste of time. The invoice issue was resolved quickly and some items were removed from the final invoice. The job (PAT testing) was completed correctly. But the lack of communication with regards to the billing means I won't be using UK safety management again.

I am sincerely sorry you were not happy with the service you received from UK Safety Management. A member of our customer relations team will be in touch with you immediately to resolve this matter. Our engineers follow a very strict procedure whilst on site. He should arrive on site and conduct a walk round with  you before starting the testing. At this point you would have  directed him to any items that you did not require testing. I am sorry that you felt uncomfortable giving feedback in relation to the engineer while he was stood with you. Your feedback has been fed back to Management to help us improve going forward. Very friendly man. He just got on with the job with no fuss. Spoke about reaching the plug for fridge and freezer. I said not to pull them out because of the flooring and he explained your stance on this but then he was able to reach the plugs anyway.

2nd year we have used UK Safety Management. Their engineer was polite, chatty and helpful. Just make sure you tell them when booking that you don't want your sockets tested.

Engineer good, polite, however, he did not explain that certain checks incurred extra fees I.e. socket checks. This should have been explained before proceeding either by the telephone sales rep or by the engineer. We assumed that he could do a quoted amount of checks for a set fee and did not realise that this did not include sockets and the engineer failed to elaborate.

We aim to provide our customers with a complete service and these additional services are detailed on the confirmation letter we send out. Service fine but tried to charge for socket testing which we had not asked for and did not require. Charge was dropped after a 'conversation'.
