“Contacted the Cardiff branch for some damp issues at my parent’s property. Really genuine and person-friendly service. The customer service was outstanding; Rachel, the customer service assistant was friendly and helpful. She booked a surveyor- Dan for us. Dan was knowledgeable; professional and kind; quickly identified the causes of the dampness and indicated the involvement of the company may be not needed and gave some advice to mitigate the dampness. Personally, I have some terrible experience with tradesmen, so I am anxious about engaging in services like this. However, I had a totally different experience; felt supported and not intimidated. As a result, I want to leave this review to share my positive experience.”

“Really really pleased with a survey of a loft done by Marc Manton at Timberwise. We have spray foam insulation in a loft at a house which was owned by my late in-laws and which we are now selling. We were concerned the spray foam could be a problem and wanted a specialist to survey it and advise us. Timberwise popped up on a Google search and were excellent. An appointment to survey the loft was arranged promptly. Marc kept me informed about time of arrival and arrived exactly when he said. He was polite, helpful, informative, clearly knew exactly what he was talking about, was very practical and a generally all-round nice guy. The survey was done carefully and thoroughly and we got the report two working days later exactly as promised. Marc was then very happy to have a follow up call on a couple of points. The survey report was clear, explained where there were issues and why; clarified what was not a problem and gave us practical pointers as to how to resolve the issues that were there. The back office support was also very professional and constructive. So overall a definite ten out of ten experience and a firm I would strongly recommend and would undoubtedly use again. It is sometimes easy to think that a big national firm like this will be impersonal, expensive and just not very responsive or helpful. That could not be more wrong. They were good value, very responsive, and helpful at all points and their national coverage is a big plus. So thank you Marc and the Timberwise team!”

“On Tuesday 7th January 2025 your surveyor Keith Wilcox visited us at Batcombe House Cottage, Batcombe Somerset BA4 6AA to advise on a problem of damp. I cannot praIse KeIth highly enough for his professionalism and helpfulness. He diagnosed the problem swiftly and provided first class advice on the reuired remedial action. I have already recommeneded Keith and your company to someone else in the village and will not hesitate to call him again should we be unable to sort out the issue in the first instance. Please pass on my sincere thanks to Keith.”

“We had an issue with damp in a storage area in a below ground space in our home. Although it’s not any type of living space we use it for storage. The existing tanking that had been done when our house was built in the early 1980’s had failed. I’m not a confident DIYer let alone a builder so this situation filled me with dread. We asked friends and acquaintances for information and received lots of conflicting advice only leading to more confusion. After looking online I discovered the Property Care Association and they say ; “ We ensure that our members adhere to strict membership criteria through regular audits. Our tool can help you find the right member to support you on your project.” I decided to look for companies in our area ( Devon ) who were registered with them and called Timberwise. An appointment was made for Keith one of their surveyors to come out to us free of charge. I have to say that I was a little nervous about being put in a pressure sales situation. I could not have been more wrong ! Keith was absolutely excellent. After looking closely at the issue in our home he explained clearly to us the regulations covering areas such as ours and possible remedies. He even called a supplier company representative whilst sat with us to make sure that he was giving us accurate information about their products. At no point did Keith put us under any pressure and was happy to give us clear advice without us having to sign up for work to be done. I can honestly say that if others have any issues regarding damp of any kind then contacting Timberwise for advice is definitely the way to go. It is refreshing to experience true customer service from a trusted company. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Keith could not have been better - Thank you again Keith.”

“Highly recommended!! Very professional and conscientious company. Two specialists/gentlemen came to inspect the woodworm in the loft. Luckily there was/is no trace of it. For that reason, they did not charge any penny even for their time!!! Very impressed!”

“Dean (Foster) came to our house and was extremely helpful. He also confirmed the appointment by text the day before and gave a good indicator what time he will arrive which helps us plan the day much easier. He identified the issue immediately and gave good advice. We actually had Dean 2 years ago with another survey in a different part of the house and then Timberwise helped us to rectify the issue, so very happy to see him again as we trust him to be professional and efficient. thank you Dean.
