It’s an OK service but nothing outstanding. Email support like most others is poor. I had a query on my order and still waiting on a response. They have a monopoly on Pi parts and to some extent on accessories.

04/07/2023 I have recently ordered both a PI 400 and a Raspberry PI 4 version B with 8GB ram since June 29th. The PI 400 arrived and had no AV output and an SDRAM failure out of the box that needed to be returned for replacement. (ACT indicator blink x8). The Raspberry PI 4 version B 8GB ram has arrived today with a bent No. 10 GPIO pin and I'm currently awaiting a response to get this returned too. I am very disappointed with the quality checking of these products. I have taken a hit to my enthusiasm twice in the past week. That said, Pi Hut customer service has been prompt with their response and offered to replace the Pi 400 straight away with free return postage. I should just clarify I understand that Pi Hut is not responsible for poor quality control and fault would ultimately lie with the factory. I'm still disappointed that this wasn't picked up before sale though. (I have read a few of the other reviews here and I can also confirm the Pi 4 did not arrive in an anti-static bag which surprised me. There was no foam or impact protection in the small A5-sized cardboard delivery box either).

When searching for an item, I do not want to see brands in the "Categories" filter. For example, there are already "DFRobot" and "Adafruit" items in the "Brand" filter, so why is there a need for "DFRobot Products" and "Adafuit Products" in the "Categories" filter? And a filter for products that are in-stock would also be appreciated.

Items were dispatched quickly and well packaged so arrived safely. However, one of the items, a Raspberry Pi case was of poor quality. It also arrived missing washers and as a result cracked during assembly. Even when together it was loose and ill-fitting and an absolute waste of £32 — but not Pi Hut's fault. However, I did write a review on the item itself to mention my experience. This was never approved. I wonder if other buyers had tried to leave similar reviews in the past also were not approved, resulting in me only seeing good ones, thus being encouraged to buy it… C'est la vie!

A little more on the expensive side but during a shortage I guess everything is expensive. Biggest con is that there is no estimated delivery time. At the time of writing it's been 2 weeks and I still don't know when my package will arrive.

Easy enough website. But when they shipped, they didn't include tracking, so I have no idea when I'll get my stuff.

Well, buying was easy, but the goods are still not delivered! And this questionnaire is crab, as it cannot be used by a hardened browser without a lot of trouble. Why do you need google-analytics? Why doubleclick and all the other mad companies, which are just dealing with my data. That sucks!

I was a little surprised that my order for an e- voucher took 6 days. Having read reviews about the voucher arriving quickly, I left it too late to receive the voucher in time for my husband’s birthday. Shame.

Easy to order, good communication throughout. Only point a quality one packaging for item was damaged and dirty so was the part, look as though it had been stood on prior to placement in shipping packet.

Happy with the product but it never came with a power supply for it nor mentioned that one had to be purchased. As it’s a powered USB hub I assumed I could provide power via a usb cable but I can not do this and power my raspberry pi

I received my order, the component was not sealed in its anti static bag, I am positive the box had been opened and replaced with another unit, the raspberry pi zero does not have working wifi and I am sure it's faulty, by no means am I placing the blame on The Pi Hut, but I'm a little disappointed after waiting so long to receive one for a project.

I wanted to order 6 items from the Raspberry Pi range. All were in stock and were duly placed in the basket. Then my problems started - using an iPad and Safari I commenced the ordering process using a credit card. All went we until all the credit card details were added, then the problems started. The system froze, although the site was running I could not get beyond the stage after entering the credit information. Also there appears not to be a way of clearing the saved information and starting again. In the end I used a different browser- Google and started with an empty basket and new login. This worked and I got the confirmation screens. However the information presented during the purchasing process had a different layout from the one that locked up, which makes me wonder if the Pi Hut works differently with different browsers. There was of course no way to telephone the Pi Hut to report this Nevertheless the goods turned up as promised and are as expected.

On the basis that the RPi will function when I get to the project, best I can say is average experience. Like others have stated, board arrived in a crushed cardboard envelope, no foam, and not in the enclosed static bag. I expected some protection.

My only criticism is that you use Royal Mail to deliver items. I find them most inflexible and inefficient.

Was pleased with the ordering process, including paying through Amazon and the very quick shipping! I was a little sad that I couldn’t get an additional part added to my order an hour after ordering, but realise your support had ended (after 4:30 on Friday). I was most disappointed in the packaging for the pi, as i opened the box to find it loose outside of it’s antistatic bag (as was cut open and unsealed). I haven’t yet tried the device, but wouldn’t be suprised if it go damaged during delivery. I have previously ordered from you guys and not had any issues, so I assume this is a one off and given 3 stars for this order.

The product is great and is exactly what I wanted. However, the packaging was dreadful - just rattling around inside a box the size of a paperback book without any protective filling. Thankfully it was not damaged but for electronic equipment, this is not the way to post it out to customers. I've bought a lot of equipment from The PiHut and it always arrives quickly plus the quality is outstanding but they need to improve their packaging.

The only reason I gave 3 stars, is because I did not get information/update that the parcel was delivered. The order process was straightforward, but I would expect more updates. It just so happened that the parcel fitted in my mailbox so no harm done, but it would be very important for bigger parcels to not be left around, and also get notified.

Quick delivery, but item (Pi Zero WH) was loose in the box, so had fallen out of its anti-static bag and had been knocked about a bit. It looks to be in good condition, but I’ve not had a chance to test it yet.

Bought 2 pi pico w's. They arrived in a large jiffy bag the postman had folded through the letterbox. Only luck meant he didn't fold the pis in half. Can I suggest you stick in a sheet of cardboard so postmen realise it isn't foldable. And use a smaller jiffy bag so they don't feel the need to fold it.
