“I was impressed with how quickly you despatched the order, however… As I used PayPal (as usual) all my details where auto completed and at a quick glance all seemed correct. The postcode however was not correct S18 instead of SG18. This resulted in my item being sent to an invalid postcode and apparently I no w have to wait 18 days before RM return the item to you so I can reorder! I realise I should have checked myself more thoroughly but I am annoyed that neither PiHut or RM bothered to check for a valid postcode before processing. Other websites I use check for this sort of thing automatically. Not happy! Regards Phil Waller”

“I made an order and tried to cancel with an hohour or so & customer support wouldnt cancel. I really like pihut, but I haven’t been able take get a raspberry pi 4 - 8gb board or the RPI zero w 2. I have been developing various projects for them last years & it’s the cost of these boards and difficulty of getting them has made me realize it’s just not practical. If I don’t succeed in getting a couple RPI4 & RPIW2 by next week or so, I’m gonna switch to a more powerful Arm board or just build a mint atx x86 Pc for almost the same price but with 20x the power…. I think the general public will come to conclude that RPI is just a fad, it won’t last long unless the retailers restock & keep the prices low. Look at the odroid N2+ — 2x the power with 4x usb 3.0’ports, an emmc module and sd card slot for the same cost of the rpi4. So, unless I get lucky a get some RPI4s and the RPIW2; maybe I’ll keep shopping with Pihut, but doubtful.”

“I was asked to give a review for my order. Sadly the order has still not arrived. The order was placed at 22 of Janurary. Maybe it takes a little longer becaus the shippment goes to germany but to have an information about the status or better, a tracking no of the shipping would be great. BR Marc”

“I was disappointed in the packaging of the Zero WH. Inside the cardboard container was an empty anti-static bag with a loose Zero WH rattling about without any restraint. I've yet to test the device and will open a ticket if necessary.”

“Pi Hut are my go to place for anything Raspberry Pi related - I love the range of sensors and accessories they have, which is unsurpassed in my experience. Delivery is always prompt, and things are priced fairly. On this occasion the experience was not up to the usual standard. I purchased a rack mount plate for 4 x Pis. It arrived in pristine packaging, full wrapped and with no sign of damage, however when I went to install the Pis it became clear that the plate was completely bent out of shape, such that the Pis would not sit flush to the late front, nor fit in 1U of space as intended. I managed to bend the plate back into the right shape and it now works fine, but it’s disappointing that quality control failed to spot this. It’s likely a problem with the manufacturer rather than Pi Hut themselves, but still - disappointing. I’ll continue to use Pi Hut, but this particular experience was not good.”

“Long time customer, in general happy with your customer service. However, a few things went wrong with my last order (#940011). 1) I tried to place the order using my Lloyds Bank debit card and couldn't. After entering my correct payment details I was redirected back to the order page and saw a general error. The debit card used is currently valid, and I have used it in the past while ordering from you. I tried a few times but could not place the order. 2) I contacted your customer support via email and asked for help (Tue, Jan 17, 3:08 PM). I received an automated confirmation that you have received my email. Four days later and I still haven't received any sort of reply. 3) I tried placing the order the next day and this time it went through. Not sure what went wrong, or if it was a temporary glitch, but I would have appreciated some response from you - even after placing the order.”

“After waiting several months for my items to come into stock I ordered it and paid for next day delivery for it to arrive at my friend's house before the weekend. He was setting it up for my soon to be 10 year old's birthday the next week. It's all he's asked for since spending the best part of the past year (including Christmas 2021 and his 9th birthday) in isolation in hospital having and recovering from and being treated for bone marrow failure. Although the ordering process was easy, it grated having to spend a further £10 for next day delivery, but I did so that my son would receive this in time for his birthday. The item was not delivered the next day. The following day (2 days after ordering) I received a message from DPD saying they couldn't deliver. When I tried to contact them they wouldn't speak to me because I was neither the business nor the receiver (even though I ordered and paid for it!). I contacted pi hut who said they couldn't get through to the driver/DPD and it would be Monday before they could now deliver. They had no more stock to send out instead so the delivery would be after only free time my friend had to sort this before my son's birthday as he works all week. If it is delivered on Monday (DPD left no card or phone call or knock at the door so we only have their word they even tried) this will be 5 days (remember i paid for next day) for delivery, leaves no time for my friend to sort, and we risk having no gift for my son after a really horrific year for him. Using a more efficient and honourable delivery company might prevent similar scenarios in the future”

“Well you did ask. The item is not waterproof as stated, the battery compartment maybe, but where the 2 wires go through the casing, are certainly not, but I feel rain water will work its way through Next day delivery didn't happen, stated " your order is on the way 10/1/23 at 06:44" which was Tuesday, so next day should of been Wednesday, however, it arrived Thursday. I have to say though, better delivery than royal mail, pay for 48hour delivery and get it in 5 days, don't ever use royal mail”

“I assume the parts will get here and work but they are taking a long time as I'm in CA, USA. It's a little frustrating not having any tracking information. I'm ordering 2 RTCs (Mini RTC Module for Raspberry Pi × 2) to plug into Raspberry Pi. This particular model you carry appears to come with a capacitor instead of a required battery. For me, that will work great assuming the comments are correct that the capacitor will allow it to keep time for somewhere between 3 days and a week. But I'm counting on that being correct based on feedback comments and not part of the product description. I would have been more comfortable if the description explicitly stated no battery is required and how long the capacitor will keep the clock running. I have 5 Pis so may want more but wouldn't mind ordering exactly the same footprint with a model using a CR1220 battery which I assume would keep the clock accurate if the Pi is used infrequently.”

“Ordered on Dec 29th and haven’t received tracking number after getting email stating order shipped a few days ago. Reached out to support earlier today. Still waiting for a response. Not sure why you send out emails asking for reviews of purchases way before you can provide a full service.”
