“Really great experience with dispatching pi zero W with classic pin zero case and zerocam. Great fun building CCTV platform however I am gobsmacked to learn zerocam is unsuitable for pi zero case. This limitation is not stated clearly anywhere on the specifications. I need a robust case to secure camzero and still have yet to source such a product.”

“Wish has cheaper shipping, more order quantity. Other suppliers allow more quantity in one order, cheaper shipping charges and arrived faster. Also, appreciate if the serial number of the product is included in my receipt or email such that i can easily trace my warranty when multiple order had been placed at different date.”

“Overall experience was good, only reason I’ve only put 3 stars is because the usb to micro sd card converter I ordered didn’t work… didn’t even fit in my pcs usb slot (I’ve got usb 3.0 and 2.0)”

“Unfortunaly on this occasion the service was not great and i still don't have my order. Unfortunaly the wrong order was sent and rather than send out the correct order i paid for I have been told the incorrect order has to be returned first. Using a label that I don't at home have the required printer to print out. As the order was sent to me incorrectly by the Pi Hut I see no reason why I should have to wait for me to return that before the correct order is sent out. The payment was in exchange for a specific product and it is irrelevant if a separate project was sent out The 3 stars here is based on the many previous successful and helpful support I have received from the Pi hut, in general I have been very satisfied, but in this case the service level has fallen short of what I expect from on line sellers. Due to their mistake I am with out the product I paid for.”

“I bought a pi zero, case and power supply - you could have told me that the power supply was not suitable for the pi zero. Last time my pi 4 was sent with a European plug instead of a UK plug. I think you need to flag up this sort of thing at the time of ordering. I'm less than ecstatic.”

“Products arrived promptly, well packaged, and as advertised, very pleased with this. Quite dissatisfied with the fact they were not upfront about the fact the payment would be processed via PayPal, and the fact an unauthorised third party received the payment confirmation email, and I was pretty much fobbed off by customer service when I queried this. :)”

“Hi, I did have a problem with the 32GB SD card that was provided with the Raspberry OS pre loaded. Nothing happened upon booting and I had to go out and buy a USB card reader so that I could load the OS myself onto the SD card via download from the website. The product was delivered very fast and everything now works. I would like to buy some more items from the PiHut in the future. I did find the 'reccomended software' option in the OS confusing - I couldn't install programs one at a time. It automatically sees an unticked box as a descision to uninstall that specific program, so I spent some time playing 'whack-a-mole' installing and accidentally uninstalling various programs a few times until I figured out what was going on.”

“Order #692175 placed early July, contained a noobs card that was urgently required as I had suffered simultaneous failures of both my Windows and P400 machines. I needed a new card as with the Windows machine down I could not image one myself. I was very pleased to receive the card in under 24 hours. Alas the card was not seen by either my P400 or my Pi4, both of which could see but not load earlier cards. my pi3 could see the card but did not like the OS. I did raise a ticket through support but failed to get a satisfactory answer. #91753. As soon as my windows machine was back in service I was able to Image a card which worked perfectly. So basically I paid £7 for a card that would not perform blank identical Samsung card from Amazon is under £5, and if it were not for purchasing additional items would also be out what I consider to be an excessive postage charge for an Item that could be dispatched in a letter envelope for a normal stamp price.”

“I ordered many times from The Pi Hut and the service quality itself has always been perfect. But i have to say that DHL shipping this time has really been a bad choice. I've been bothered quite a bit by them to provide extra documentation for customs. Something that any other service could have managed smoothly. At the end the custom charges were as much as twice as i could expect, and i'm very used to order from Extra UE shops so even if i'm not 100% sure, i'm confident to say the charges were a bit off. It's not really The Pi Hut fault, but i'd suggest to look after the shipping services quality.”

“I've used Pi Hut a few times and this was the first order where I had a problem. I wanted to sort myself out with a storage solution for SMT components. I ordered a fillofax (remember them?) style folder and some *wide* pages for keeping strips of ICs in. I got sent narrow strips instead. After putting a support request in I was told, after Pi Hut admitted to it being a warehouse error, to return the wrongly sent items. I told them there was no way I was going to that hassle for 10 pounds worth of goods, when it was a mistake Pi Hut admitted too. They duly sent me the refund, but the whole thing has made me a bit reluctant to use Pi Hut again in the future, as they should have refunded me automatically and perhaps ask nicely for me to return the wrongly sent goods, which I probably would have done. And I'm left with a SMT storage folder I can't use too. Oh well. Lawrence”
