“It was amazingly fast since I completed the order, but the f***** brexit delayed my shipment due to the customs. The Pi Hut could be the perfect website but if they weren’t from UK.”

“Products I ordered were despatched quickly after ordering and I also received them really quick. Only minor issue I had is the packaging. Ordered a pi zero 2, case and essentials kit. They all came in a small box but there was no foam or bubble wrap in the box so the items were loose and moving around in transit. Thankfully nothing was damaged but the box could have been padded out with something to stop stuff potentially getting damaged. Only a minor problem though, happy with the purchase and will definitely use again!”

“Good delivery but no notification the order was fulfilled until I checked by logging back into the web site. Then my purchased was delivered quite quickly. Would be nice to know when the order was dispatched, however, this is my only critisim. everything else was correct.”

“The PiHut delivery arrived very promptly. Only one concern I had was that the items rattled in the box, meaning there was no padding to protect them. I know that it’s probably good that less packaging makes things cheaper overall and is better for the environment, but some form of padding would have welcomed.”

“Very happy with the service. Ordered a raspberry pi starter kit and it came in good time. On arrival I found that the SD card was damaged. Customer support were very quick to respond and have sent out a replacement immediately.”

“I won't be reviewing the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Starter Kit itself - rather my actual experiencing of ordering said kit from The Pi Hut. It went perfectly fine, I just have a few suggestions (use 'em, don't use 'em): * The "kit" is just the disparate bits all packaged up into a single parcel. That means you get a cardboard box for the power adapter, a cardboard box for the case, and a cardboard box for the RPi itself... inside a bigger cardboard box holding them all. That feels like unnecessary waste: at the very least, the RPi could be preinstalled into its case, saving one box. * Similarly, the fact that everything in the "kit" is very obviously just picked and packed from a warehouse full of components makes the whole thing not feel like a kit at all. Yes, the kind of people who are buying a RPi probably don't care about the unboxing experience, but providing a positive one can't hurt; what about some sort of cardboard packaging cutout, that fits directly into the kit-sized shipping box, and into which the unboxed components of the kit can be slotted? * Delivery fee of £3 for shipping via Royal Mail is ridiculous, since Royal Mail itself is free; what you're actually charging me for is packing the kit and getting it to a post office. That isn't a problem for something like this kit, but for small and low-priced items that fee could end up being more than the price of the item, and almost everyone is going to balk at that - leading to fewer orders. Why not consider upping item prices to build in the "delivery" fee, then offer free shipping across the board? * The case in the kit was changed from the official white RPi Foundation one, to a third-party black one. I assumed that meant I'd get a black USB-C power adapter, but instead got a white one, which obviously doesn't match the case. For me this is unimportant, but I can see others being bothered about such a thing.”

“It worked out OK. I decided to pay a little more for the pi power supply for safety so it was more expensive with the postage as well. It said 24 hrs but from my order on Sunday it arrived Wednesday this is probably Royal Mail however due to covid. Still better to buy from an authentic PI dealer for safety and they have a great range of add ons will use them again. Tks.”

“Amazing shop and quick sending! But due to Brexit, the import cost is gi-gan-tic here. That's the reason I won't shop again. I'm all for paying transport costs to keep packages sustainable, as it should be. But this? In 21st century? It's really a waste. Nevertheless, keep up the good work.”

“The product came quite quickly and in good condition. Everything worked well except for the preloaded NOOBs microSD card. I deliberately purchased this as I thought it would be more expensive to buy a new microSD card and a SD card reader. Unfortunately, it seems that the data on the SD card was corrupted and so raspberry pi os failed to install. This meant I had to go out and buy a sd card reader and reformat the card myself. Although this is extremely easy it did waste my time and I spent money I shouldn’t have had to spend. Other than that I’m very happy with my product!”

“Everything was delivered ok once I managed to get the order done. The only point to note was that I tried multiple times to pay by amazon pay which I have used before at your site because for some reason I didn't originally get the opportunity to pay by credit card. But every time I initiated the amazon pay cycle I completed the cycle of that which amazon were ok. Then your web page never gave me any way forward just review which also never gave me anyway forward. In the end after trying three times I gave up and returned to to it a couple of days later where I was given the opportunity to pay with credit card which I did. However after delivery of all items you kept sending me emails reminding me that I had not completed my purchase which I have obviously done. So happy you got the order and sent the products not so happy about the web faults and emails. Hope you get these teething problems sorted.”
