“4 weeks to receive my order. Otherwise pleased with the service. But I would not have ordered in the first place if I was aware that it would take that long. Pandemic or whatever else, you should have up-to-date info regarding the timeplan for delivery.”

“Sturdy piece of kit as expected , but the item received was not the exact pictured item on the Pi hut site, variation in design of the unit that holds the soldering iron. Ideally i would want to receive the pictured item on your web site.”

“Hi - the budget Bluetooth keyboard was faulty on arrival. When I reported this, my return request was dealt with promptly, however there was also what felt like an "automatic" suggestion that the fault lay at my end, and that I should check all my other equipment. This might make sense with system builders etc, but when everything else works perfectly and this item doesn't, it just felt a bit cheeky.”

“My order was shipped very quickly, 5 stars for that. But products were packed very poorly and the box had gone all flat. Luckily nothing was broken. 1 star for packing.”

“Mixed experiences including with no issues. But this year (2020) I ordered 9 Oct, standard shipping to Ireland with expected delivery 3-6 days. Still hadn't arrived 12 days later so I emailed. I thought I got a personal response but after no further contact and the same copy/paste reply after a couple more efforts to contact them I got frustrated. On 22 I ordered from Farnell instead as I needed the components and I received what I needed the next morning. On 28 Oct with no further communications from The Pi Hut except to ask for a review a few times :D I got a notice saying I was refunded, which is a positive to be fair to them. I have also ordered in the past with no problems.”

“Everything came packaged well, in good time and good quality, although there were screws missing from the casing I ordered within the Gaming package. And the housing fit could have been a little better.”

“First delivery seemed defective. You replaced it very promptly - thank you - since the new PiZero ran fine on the same image that wouldn't boot on the first machine, I assume that there was a hardware fault. You say that every machine is tested prior to despatch? This purchase did waste a lot of my time since initially I assumed the problem must be at my end.”

“Achat un peu confus: des fois les prix sont en £ des fois en € et des fois c'est le prix en euros mais avec le symbole £. J'ai fait confiance mais normalement ce genre de bug me pousse à partir avant d'acheter. Pour ce qui est de la livraison, c'est dommage qu'un envoi de l'Angleterre pour la France passe par Francfort, ça rajoute du temps.”

“The pi4 was ok but the case I bought from you was badly designed. The 2xHDMI ports cutouts in the side wall are too small. The moulding on the mini HDMI plugs I was using on my cables wouldn’t go though the holes and connect to the HDMI sockets. I had spend several hours filing the plastic to make the rectangular holes bigger. Once I’d done that they worked.”

“I have to be honest here - the ease with which you can order, the speed of delivery & refunding the return was excellent. What was poor was the recommended fan for the clear case not having the correct screws to fit it & this was a disappointment (if only a cheap purchase). Much worse than this though was the Raspberry Pi 4B 8Gb that came in the starter kit. What a piece of junk. It wouldn't install the OS from the supplied SD card at all, the "product help" on the webpage didn't help at all & thus I ended up writing an updated OS image to a much better quality SD card than is supplied with the starter kit. That managed to install, update & then continually shut down after 1 - 2 minutes. The conclusion? Despite the claims that all Pis are all tested, they obviously aren't. For any prospective buyers, don't waste your money on it. The company is ok to deal with, but the 4B 8Gb is utter toilet.”
