“Still waiting for it to arrive”

“avoid if you can. i occasionally bought stuff from them over the years and more often than not their service is disappointing. most recently i purchased a 1.54 e-ink display that was supposed to be white-red-black. the white and black are ok but red is a very faded pink. i have contacted support to ask for assistance and they kindly send me to deal with waveshare support that after 4 days is asking me what board i am using (because they cant see it on picture) and to provide a video. i did not buy my board from waveshare... i would ask for a refund but considering that in 2015 when they send me a duplicated order they did not bother even saying thank you when i returned it, i doubt they will want to deal with it.”

“I'm sorry guys. Usually a good service but you need to sort DPD out. I ordered my item on Saturday and paid £8.99 for next working day delivery. I needed the item for work on Wednesday. The DPD driver text to say he would be late on the Tuesday. Then a further message to say he could not find my address and finally a message to say a return to sender had been requested. Emailed Pihut on Wednesday of this week. Still no reply.”

“I hope that I can revise this review, and probably is not your fault. The other times that I have ordered with you guys have been truly flawless, but the package has not been delivered yet, and the order was placed on Monday night. It’s a shame as now we are not going to be able to use the camera for the project this weekend. I do not know what happened, if it’s just a matter of Royal Mail…”

“Please read review as this review is based on end to end. The PiHut did nothing wrong. However DPD were terrible. They delivered to the wrong location, could not get it to us. I paid more for it and it was just terrible. PiHut you need to get a decent courier.”

“Absolutely awful service. I received the wrong item and explained my wife and I are disabled. All we wanted was for the Royal Mail to collect with a sticker as is normal practice for disabled people but for some reason they’d rather discriminate. I’m usually willing to pay the exorbitant prices because of the speed of service. However I cannot get my items I ordered until we buy a new printer, somehow set it up as two disabled people, print the forms and get it to the Post Office. So much for equality of access. I wish I could give zero stars as the attitude is from the 50s.”

“I really don't get how this company could have so many positive reviews, perhaps those users never had any issues. I had an issue before my order was even shipped - I asked them to combine shipping, their refused and then ignored my email requesting escalation. When I received the order, one of the items was defective. They arranged an RMA but did not immediately ship out a replacement. What are they afraid of, that I am scamming? I do not wish to keep a broken pi camera, I tested with a multimeter to make sure it was not an issue with the ribbon cable or the connectors on the Pi board or the camera board, no, it's the hardware on the camera itself (or the Pi). I tested the module on another Pi and it didn't work, so it's the camera. The whole process will take 48hrs at least, this means I am stuck and can't finish my project which is urgent. I will have to rely on a USB webcam which will ruin the look of the device and my customer won't be pleased. This company's customer support is horrible. If you challenge what they say, they simply do not respond, it's their way or nothing.”

“I ordered a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Starter Kit for £ 70.33. The total cost included £ 12 for shipping. Today they delivered the Raspi to me but with an added cost of 20.16 Euros (customs duties and postal charges). This additional cost was not specified when I placed the order on The Pi Hut, and this does not seem fair to me. It should be mandatory to specify that if you are shipping outside the UK there are these additional costs!”

“When I ordered I specified and paid for a next day delivery. What was not immediately obvious was the cut off date, so your site accepted booking but the kit was not delivered until 2 days later. Waste of money and kit as we had to source elsewhere. Was offered a refund on kit, not delivery cost, which would be pointless as delivery cost more than 2 x cables. We also ordered the cables based on the site suggestion, and these had the wrong connectors - poor information on both sides. Not a great response when I called to complain.”
