“After looking at many beds ordered this based on the product and the reviews. I ordered the bed thinking it was in stock as it stated it was online, when I hadn't received a delivery date in the time frame given i contacted the company, turns out it was on a delay so they managed to jiggle about their orders and the bed arrived when i originally expected it. The quality of the packaging was amazing, there was no way the bed would arrive damaged. The bed itself is of great quality, a lovely heavy duty metal. Could have done with better instructions but i managed to put a double bed together myself. It doesn't squeak or move and overall its a great buy. Would definitely recommend the bed and the company”

“My order was delivered and I mistakenly thought something was missing. The gentleman I spoke to told me where to look and stayed on the line while I rechecked and found it. He was very patient and didn't make me feel like an idiot. The bed itself is beautiful and I would recommend the company to everyone. A very happy customer:)”

“So far, so amazing. Most of my family have a bed from The Original Bedstead Company and I decided I had to get one. It's very sturdy, noise free and goes really well with our mattress whilst looking like a quality piece.”

“This is the second bed frame which I have bought from the Original bedstead company (the first experience was good). However, this time it was poor. The frame was not of the same quality as my first purchase and additionally had been delivered with the wrong sized wooden slats. I contacted the company and was told that some would be sent out immediately. One week later they had still not arrived and I had to telephone the company again to explain and ask again for replacement slats (which eventually did arrive). I'm afraid that my previously high opinion of the OBC has been tarnished.”

“The bed was delivered in easy to move packages and was well wrapped. All parts fittied together well and the bed did not wobble. The head and feet looked like they did in the advert. Overall very pleased.”

“I ordered a four foot bed for my toddlers first bed! There's not many companies that do four foot beds and I was thrilled to receive an amazing bed (the Edwardian) directly to my home in Ireland within five days!! The delivery charge to Ireland was particularly reasonable. A really great service and exceptionally high quality beds.”

“Would not recommend buying a bed from this company. Customer service and delivery is disappointing. I have waited for 6 weeks for delivery. Now being told that delivery won’t happen for another 3 and a half weeks. Had to email three times (without any response) in order to get an update on this.”

Hi Sophia, Apologies for the delayed response and that your bedstead will be delivered 1 week after the quoted timescale. We experienced a particularly busy period which resulted in some orders being late; sorry for this. We have been working hard to catch up and are now back within the quoted delivery period. “Bed is very comfy and I love sleeping on it, the only annoyance is that the mortlake headboard rails are just at the height that one pillow slips over and one under it. (My house is 200 years old n not square so can't be pushed right up against the walls its 10" difference) so I wake up and my pillows are in the gap! Also you need to be very practical to guess how it goes together as the instructions only had 5 points to build an entire bed! and did not list or mention the cross struts, it took me an hour of trying them for size in different places to figure out they actually go between the bottom strip of the headboard and the side rail brackets. Other than that its awesome!”

“I'm getting really scared now that my beds will not be delivered. Full payment has been taken, I ordered these beds two weeks ago and according to their website they are beds in stock i.e. 3-5 working days delivery. I have emailed, left a voicemail, tweeted and messaged on Facebook. Nobody has come back to me to assure me that my delivery is on its way. This is my last attempt before I start trying to get my money back, if someone can update me on the delivery I will remove this review. Thanks, Ashley”
