“Brilliant company and excellent quality beds. Bought the wrong bed for my room so contacted them and ordered a different one. No problem at all. Lady we dealt with was extremely helpful , arranged for the bed to be collected and the new one delivered. One happy customer 5 * service.”

“Ordering was easy and fast delivery on time and date to suit me I ordered 2 iron beds (olivia) excellent quality, very solid easy to put together, all parts were there and good assembly instructions. Both beds look absolutely gorgeous , would highly recommend”

“What a bed, elegant design, beautifully made and will last a very long time, I’m not sure how many life times. We got the standard mattress which was firmer than I expected but it gives a lovely nights sleep, so very glad we didn’t go for the firm option. I’m very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend TOBC.”

“Can’t rate highly enough, this bed was in stock and delivered within a few days (I’ve had other companies quote 8-10 weeks for stock to be delivered). I was so easy to put together, I did it on my own in probably an hour and a half, and it feels high quality. I would really recommend Original bed Co. - all the designs are really timeless, and I actually think they’re really reasonable for what you get.”

“Very quick service for a bespoke bed frame. Got it within a couple of weeks rather than months for bigger companies. Excellent choice of fabrics. Good quality bed frame, comfy mattress and excellent customer service. We paid for the bed to be fitted and old one taken away and that service was excellent too. Would highly recommend this company.”

“Jamyang had been very helpful of giving advice on products and placing orders. Both and bedframe and mattress are really of good quality and very happy about buying them! The only bad experience is about the delivery company that the crew, despite arrived at my apartment area, did not even got hold of me and left due to lack of parking slot which they didnt specify was needed and in fact I would be able to get them one on the spot should they called me before they left ! In the end they left and had to make a complain in order to secure another slot which kind of caused delay to my move to new flat.”

“Ordered a mattress and two beds (Hamilton low end and Edwardian) and I love them both, particularly the Hamilton. I have always wanted an iron bed and the Hamilton is perfect and very reasonably priced. I had no issues with the delivery date and the delivery was arranged at my convenience etc. I would definitely recommend”

“I’ve had 3 single beds from this firm which I was totally happy with. So I ordered a double bed with confidence that it would also be great. Not so. The medium mattress arrived first, and was fine on the floor, though a problem to get up from. When the base was assembled it turned out to be so hard, I’m now back on one of the single beds, despite trying it for a few weeks. I’m now considering replacing it with a sprung divan base.”

“Don't buy these beds. The only straight-forward part of dealing with The Original Bed company was parting with our money; the woman who took the order was extremely helpful. After that, the company has been hard to reach and shambolic. After an extremely long wait, and little communication our beds arrived. The couriers were unpleasant and rude. The beds themselves were not what we ordered and it was clear that the quality wasn't worth, compared to the rest of the market, the relatively high price tag. When trying to rectify the situation the company has been slow, hard to reach and it has taken over 6 weeks to get our money back. All in all, I'd be the last person to recommend these beds. A shame and a waste of time.”

Hi Alice, Many thanks for your review. I can see here that you ordered two beds in a bespoke colour, that were sent in the standard painted white in error and subsequently returned straight away without being removed from the packaging, assembled, or slept on. Apologies for this error. As a family business, operating for over 20 years, we take great pride in the quality of the products we produce, and I'm sure that you would have been able to see this had the beds been taken out of the packaging. I totally accept the reasons for you not doing this though, given they were the wrong colour, and we have made changes internally to ensure this extremely rare error does not happen again. I also note that you ordered two mattresses with the beds and decided to keep them; and it's pleasing to see you are happy with the level of comfort and quality of sleep they provide. In regards to the refund, we always credit the card items were paid for on, once a return has been processed. However, it appears you paid via bank transfer and there was a delay in getting your bank details from you to make a transfer back to you. We will be sure to look to introduce a system which is more proactive in chasing your bank details should the initial request not be successful. Thanks once again for your feedback.
