“This is my second bed purchased from the OBC. I’m reluctantly giving up my king size Tulsk bedstead as I need to downsize. I opted for the Edwardian small double, both are in the glossy ivory. Excellent quality, very sturdy and very reasonably priced. As my second bed was a lot smaller I was able to put it together myself! I also purchased the Juno mattress (cotton) which has made me realise how soft my other mattress is. I was a bit worried to start with that it was a bit too firm but the more I sleep on it, the more comfortable it gets. Great customer service, I managed to throw away a support bar with the bed packaging and following a quick email a new one was sent, free of charge. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company and its products, you won’t be disappointed.”

“I ordered the cashmere pocket sprung Juno mattress and it was promptly delivered a few days later. It was very comfortable, the perfect firmness and quality that I was seeking. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, I was suffering from overheating with this mattress. I am naturally a hot sleeper and so avoid memory foam mattresses at all costs. I pursued the problem over a week trying different bed sheets etc. The problem remained so I contacted the Original Bed Company and explained my problem. It is certainly unusual but we both agreed that I could return the mattress immediately and try the silk mattress instead. If this replacement didn't work out, then I would get a full refund. The swapping of the mattresses took place over one week and I had the new mattress to try. This time, the mattress was as near perfect as I would have hoped. It is still a mystery why I had a problem with the cashmere mattress. Perhaps there is a filling in this mattress which was causing an adverse reaction. My research shows that this is not a comon event. The Orginal Bed company arranged the swap of the mattreses at absolutely no extra cost to me. Indeed I got the full difference of the cheaper silk mattress returned to me. I know that with other companies, there are all sorts of restrictions and rules about their refund/swapping policies. With the Orginal Bed Company, they couldn't have been more supportinver of my problem. I'm now a very happy sleeper!”

“Had two beds and mattresses. Both beds and mattresses are just quality and exceeded my expectations. However delivery was another matter. I paid for room of my choice. Delivery guys made every excuse to just leave it downstairs saying the plastic covering to the mattress was dusty and they didn’t want to mark the walls. I insisted they take the bed upstairs to be met with it won’t fit. I live on my own and ended up taking the bed upstairs myself which was not difficult. I did ring the Original Bed Company but they were far from interested”

“Bought the Juno silk mattress for our 5ft bed. Great service from OBC, delivered as expected without delay. Mattress is very comfortable to sleep on and is of very good quality. Wanted a natural wood bed which OBC don’t do so bought that from elsewhere but can’t fault the mattress at all and will use this company again.”

“Great purchase - delighted. All initial contact was very helpful including sending samples of the metal bed finishes. Straightforward purchase and my choice of future delivery date was honoured. The bed is great (Solomon low foot end), looks brilliant and is excellent solid quality. No creaks or squeaks. My only slight comment is that there is no way I could have built this on my own despite being sent an excellent instruction video - because it's such solid quality it's pretty heavy and it took two reasonably fit strong women to assemble it. Overall really pleased with it and the Original Bed Company.”

“I bought the Cashmere king-size mattress and have been sleeping on it for about a month now, it is the most comfortable mattress I've ever had (I have a thin wool topper and a wool mattress protector on top), and in comparison to other a natural fibre/wool mattresses it was by far the cheapest I found yet the quality is exceptional! I would highly recommend it.”

“Very poor communication about the expected delivery date of my bed. I had to make contact several times and I got poor, sometimes rude responses. The bed itself isn’t quite the quality I had hoped it would be but it is ok.”

“This is my second purchase from The Original Bed Company. We had our king size bed for 25 years and it still looked great. We’ve just upgraded to a super king and love it. Easy to order and delivery was quicker than expected. Very pleased with the service we received and hope to have another 25 years + with the new bed frame.”

“We are delighted with our new beds. We already owned two of their beds so we knew that the quality was good. Delivery was quick and the beds were really well packed. We chose the mattresses as well as the frames and they look well made and are comfortable.”

“it is a lovely bed, however all 4 of the threaded bars needed to attach the four top balls on each post were faulty, the threads were not straight and therefore were not fit for purpose. I also had an issue that my mattress was marked due to the protective cover having been ripped (maybe in transit?) and obviously something had therefore marked the mattress. I was able to clean it off. I contacted customer service, about both issues, and was asked for pictures. I only had one picture of the wonky threaded bar, which I sent. That was a month ago now and I have heard nothing. What a shame, because otherwise I am a happy customer, it would of been nice to be sent replacement threaded bars which I am now struggling to find.”

“I ordered a double low foot end Hamilton Iron bed in glossy ivory and I absolutely love it. It is well made and so comfortable. There is a choice of hight settings. We tried the higher one first, but then changed it to the lower hight which is better. The bed was easy to assemble. I rang the company for advice on the mattres as I prefer this on the softer side rather than too firm. The juno original was recommended and is perfect for us. I hope to be ordering another iron bed soon for a spare bed and would recommend this company.”
