“The people at the Mole clinic are very professional and very friendly. They put the customer at ease and explain in detail what they are looking for when they do an examination. The follow up is also very well done and they we happy to give more information if something is not clear.”

“Way to expensive- £35 per picture? And scaremongering too, not sure how often the word 'cancer' was used in a normal check-up. Overall grateful that the service exists (where else could I go) but overpriced.”

Thank you for reviewing our service. Our screening nurses provide our patients with an option of having a 'picture' taken of any mole which is clinically abnormal. An illuminated microscope is used to take the image, which is then diagnosed by a skin specialist as a priority. We charge £35 for that specialist diagnosis, which most patients regard as good value, and I am sorry if you find that charge expensive. As an alternative, we can provide a letter for you to take to your GP for such moles without charge. When screening patients, our nurses also provide education in relation to skin cancer causes and prevention. Again, most of our patients appreciate this provision, and I am sorry if you found our use of the word 'cancer' an issue. “I was filled with confidence after my meeting with a nurse. She explained absolutely everything to me, informed me about what to look for, what isn't an issue, etc. Things that even though I have read extensively online, I wasn't sure about. Would highly recommend it. It's only £130 once a year for peace of mind!”

“I was kept waiting past my appointment time which annoyed me. I had left home early to ensure I arrived in time for my 9 O'clock appointment. I was pleased with the thorough check of my moles but disappointed with the scant information in the follow up letter. I thought overall the amount of money charged was too much.”

“I was very nervous because I had had cancer before. the whole experience was good particularly with the nurse who examined me. She was kind and caring and made me feel at ease in a difficult situation. Luckily the outcome was good.”

“Reception wasn't welcoming, but it was efficient. The nurse was charming and checked all my moles and explained why the ones I was worried about were OK, so I went away relieved and pleased with the visit.”

“I appreciated being reminded of the need to have my skin checked again by the clinic, I was able to secure an appointment at a time that suited me (when travelling into London for a meeting), the two appointments were on time (and back to back) and the report was produced promptly afterwards, and the team are professional and knowledgeable.”
