“The first item I purchased I received a receipt immediately and the item arrived within days (as per previous purchases) . However I then ordered a few more items I had seen as a separate purchase - no receipt and no items 3 weeks later - have contacted customer service twice & have been fobbed off with the excuse of COVID causing delays (which isn’t mentioned on the website) - won’t purchase from here again .”
“I have ordered a candles and I spent over £150! I was ordering through my phone so the last five I didn’t write the Last name correctly So I emailed them and if they can do something about it, They reply back no you have to pay £25 extra so we can do it for you and!! I think for a customer to spend that much of money they should’ve just done it it was only five of the candles. I was not happy at all”
“I had a very bad experience with my purchase at the gift experience. I bought a gift for friends and shipped it directly to their place for a surprise. At checkout when asked if I wanted to add a gift card I clicked yes and customised a very nice card for them. Well while the card arrived a week later the actual gift took weeks to arrive. This is supposed to be a site for gift experiences and I ask you how this could have been a good gift experience for the people receiving it?”
“Purchased an engraved beer mug for a friend's 40th bday. The gift did not arrive on time despite dispatch estimation being a number of days and no way to track. Etsy managed to refund me as the gift experience did not reply when I emailed them and chose to ignore my message. When the gift finally arrived the packaging and box was smashed. Luckily the gift on the box was not broken despite being late. Terrible service overall and to not bother to reply to me shows lack of personal service and professionalism. No apology or explanation for the delay.”

“I ordered a gift from here for a birthday present and paid extra for 1st class delivery to make sure it was here on time. I waited over 2 weeks for the gift to finally arrive (by which time the birthday had come and gone). When I contacted customer services to find out where it was they claim to have sent it out the day after I ordered it and told me to wait 14 working days before contacting them again - very unhelpful!
Certainly wouldn't recommend ordering anything from this site, I certainly won't be. Very disappointed.”
“Believed the lady bird book I purchased to be personalized throughout. It was not, it just had the name of the person in small writing on the cover and a dedication is what I would call it inside the book in the tiniest writing. Delivery took 2 weeks to Ireland and granted covid may add to that but still very slow delivery. I am very disappointed with this purchase and believe it to be a complete waste of money”
“I have not received the gift I ordered and was told it was delivered by Royal Mail and I should be going to them myself to check. Incredibly poor customer service. I ask for a refund or replacement and was told to visit the Royal Mail depot and check what happened which should be the customer service teams job.”
“DO NOT BUY! I was really excited to get this for me and my boyfriend to have a movie night in for his birthday as the cinema where we live is still shut. When it arrived the sweets had not been packaged correctly and were all over the box and rest of the food. As this was a hot day also everything was sticky. I had to clean everything, and also throw away the sweets. Not impressed and when I sent an email regarding this, they were not very helpful considering the price for a novelty item.”
“Wasted £40 on a gift when the engraving was wrong. The obvious mistake was mine but should have been picked up on the order and also before engraving. When I complained, I was told that the whole process was automatic!! Lesson learnt by me and should be taken on board by the company. Bought the exact same gift for half the price from another company, had to wait slightly longer for it. Keep the £15 discount as will not buy from this company again as I thought that they could have been a little bit more helpful, possibly with this discount towards a replacement.”

“I ordered my parents a personalised picture frame for their anniversary. It arrived a day late (which luckily was the very date of their anniversary), and it was wrong. We received someone else’s personalised frame and I’m assuming they received ours. With a gift like this, you can’t afford to not be 100% accurate when packing as it’s personalised. They sent me out a new one, so I had to give my parents their anniversary present a week late.”
