“Ordered a personalised bookmark for my husband's Christmas gift. It turned up 3 days before Christmas - the wording on it was incorrect, the photo had been clipped so the edges were missing and the quality of the bookmark generally was so tacky. Customer service was appalling when I eventually got someone to respond to me. They issued a refund, but I ended up with no Christmas gift for my husband - they couldn't have cared less and didn't even apologise. Steer clear of this awful company!”
“Ordered a Deluxe Gourmet Break voucher to be deliver to my mother on 1st Dec 2016, when 9 days later it still hadnt arrived I contacted their customer services. They explained I couldn't report it missing until 10 days had passed. I then telephoned the next day to report it still hadnt been delivered and was assured a replacement would go out straight away. Another 9 days and two chase telephone calls and it has still not arrived. Very disappointed that the replacement was again sent out 2nd class mail, and very disappointed that no apology was forthcoming. So looks like my mothers Xmas present will not arrive on time although ordered on 1st December!”
“Ordered sweetie bear, over 10 days later it did not arrive, chased it twice finally got one sent urgent which arrived 2 days later! Well that's alright you might think? No the bear arrived James in a box labels all creased like something from a second hand teddy tombola. It came with an adult Santa hat and a cone of retro sweets all just shoved in a box, I expected a bit more care and quality for the money.”
“I was extremely disappointed with the product I bought. It was not what I expected and was a total waste of my money. The company refused to take it back or refund me, because it was personalised. It was a cheap paper product that i could have produced myself in 30 mins at a fraction of the cost.!”
“I paid for next day delivery (for Friday) and despite the delivery company saying they delivered it, they obviously delivered it somewhere else as the person who signed for it does not work at my office. However they managed to deliver it on Tuesday which was too late for my gift as I needed it for the weekend. The Gift Experience insisted it was delivered on the Friday. I asked at every floor in my building (other offices) and emailed everyone in my company and had everyone searching. On the Tuesday they confirmed that it was delivered to the 4th floor of my office and a security guard signed for it - there is no security guard. Very disappointed and will not use them again.”
“The inscription was wrong and the customer service was one of the worst I've ever delt with it will not be using your services again and will be recommending people to stay clear of your services”
“The gift was ordered on 7th of the month to be given as a present at a party on 17th of the month. I selected standard 1st class post by Royal Mail, £3.99, which was quoted at 3 to 5 day delivery. The gift arrived on 19th! I have paid £3.99 for delivery from other companies online and the goods have been delivered by courier in a couple of days. This time the gift arrived too late to be given at the party.
I made two phone calls to The Gift Experience and each time was met with total indifference and told there was nothing they could do and just wait for it to arrive. On the second call I was told they had had lots of complaints of gifts being late arriving and it was down to Royal Mail, so they suggested I go to my local sorting office to see if it was there as this is what other customers have done! Kind of defeats the object when ordering online for convenience or for people who may not be physically able to get to their local sorting office. The attitude of this company's customer service is very bad and actually constitutes NO CARE AT ALL. They made no attempt to chase it up, and never offered to resend so as to get the thing to me in time. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.”
“I ordered a product several days before the August Bank Holiday. I then phoned and arranged for the item to be POSTED on the Tuesday after the Bank Holiday so that it would probably (subject to the vagaries of Royal Mail) have been delivered to the recipients on the Saturday (their Golden Wedding Anniversary), Imagine my surprise when I received a thank you e-mail on the Tuesday - the day it should have been dispatched. The Gift Experience said that there would be a backlog after the bank holiday which may have delayed the delivery. As they had my e-mail address (and I think I supplied my phone number as well) I was very disappointed that they didn't try to contact me to discuss options. Although I have no complaints about the product, a quick phone call would have saved this negative revue. Needless to say, I shall not be purchasing from them again.”
“They outsource one of their products which I had ordered for a very special day and was being personalize. They sent 2 products instead of 1 ! The first had no personalization on it at all !
The second product had only the heading of the wording I wanted and no content at all.
This led to the recipient my daughter, crying on the phone to me on her 18th birthday at a time when we should have been celebrating her special day-the first without me being with her which is why the inscription was so important to me and her ... But the whole day was spoilt.
I did call and complain and I did speak to a very nice girl who apologized profusely said they outsource this and she would email them to rectify immediately and send another product about in 24 hours. This did nit happen and I had no correspondence from anyone until I contacted yet agai 3 times and she eventually got the correct item 4 days after her birthday - no compensation will be offered to my daughter even though I said they should have offered as a matter of course but as I was told"it's not something we do".....”
