Hi Mitchell, We’re really sorry to hear how frustrating this has been, especially when you needed the light quickly for work. To clarify your concerns about the flash counter and the box being opened, all Elinchrom heads are tested at the factory before leaving, so a small flash count is completely normal. Batteries are also sometimes checked or topped up within the supply chain to ensure they arrive in full working order, which can mean the box has been opened prior to dispatch. That said, if you’re not happy with the item and would prefer a replacement, we’re always happy to arrange this. We would just like to reassure you that the unit was supplied exactly as received from Elinchrom, and not previously used. From our side, we’ve been working to resolve this as quickly as possible and have offered several solutions throughout: - Ordered a replacement unit from Elinchrom immediately - Provided a prepaid UPS return label, which we understand you’ve tried to use at multiple drop-off points, but have unfortunately been turned away for reasons unknown to us - Arranged two separate UPS collections, both of which were unsuccessful - Offered a London store swap so you could check the replacement in person, which we understand you’re unable to do Failing the above, we also offered: - The option to use your own courier, with us refunding the return shipping cost - A partial refund option if you preferred to keep the unit We hope this shows that we’ve been actively working to resolve this and keeping regular email communication open throughout. Unfortunately, the courier issues have delayed things outside of our control. We’re still very happy to get this resolved for you as quickly as possible, whether that’s completing the swap, proceeding with a partial refund, or issuing a full refund once the item is returned. Having looked into this, the Phottix M200R SE and its included accessories seem to have been supplied exactly as specified by the manufacturer and as shown on our website. “great product, delivered quickly, but way to much packaging, I understand the need to protect item but it was a box inside a bigger box with lots of shreaded card, the waste filled my black wheelie bin,”

Hi Ross, Thank you for the review, and I’m really pleased to hear the product arrived quickly and safely. I appreciate your comments about the packaging as well. The reason we tend to be quite generous with protective packaging is that much of the equipment we sell is professional gear that customers often need for time-sensitive jobs. Making sure items arrive undamaged is absolutely critical, so we err on the side of extra protection rather than risk something being damaged in transit. That said, we do try to keep our environmental impact in mind and use recyclable materials wherever possible, including cardboard boxes and paper-based void fill rather than plastics. “Placed an order and it wasn't shipped for over a week... It was then marked as expectied by Royal Mail for 3 days. I was issued a refund out of nowhere which then took a further 4 days. No explanation”

Hi, thank you so much for your honest feedback. Whilst it's never nice to read a negative review, it is so important to us to learn about the things that occasionally go wrong, so we can do our best to continually improve and perfect our service. I’ve tried reaching out via email, but haven’t heard back, so I wanted to make sure I closed the loop from our side. After speaking with our warehouse and reviewing the tracking history, it appears Royal Mail returned the parcel to us marked as “rejected by recipient”. From what you described in your review, it sounds like that this wasn’t actually the case. Our warehouse unfortunately took that status at face value and assumed the return had been requested, so the order was refunded once the parcel came back to us. In hindsight, we should have contacted you to double check before issuing the refund, and I’m sorry that didn’t happen. We’re still relatively new to offering Royal Mail as a delivery option (we've been exclusively UPS for years but had been getting quite a few customer requests for Royal Mail also, so now we offer both), so this has been a useful learning experience for us and something we’ll be keeping a closer eye on in future.
