Hi David, thank you so much for leaving us a review. Customer feedback is invaluable for us to perfect our service, so I can't thank you enough for giving us this opportunity. I've just done a little research into your order to see what happened, and where things might be improvable for your next order. I can see that you placed your order at 4.35pm on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately this was a tad too late in the day to make our UPS collection that day. Generally we advise that orders placed before about 1pm or 2pm can still go out same day. I can see we packaged your order as a priority first thing the morning after, and that it was all labelled up ready for UPS to collect at 9.40am on Friday morning. We booked it on a next working day service, and I can see it was delivered that next working day at 3:12pm on Monday. Unfortunately, you've gotten a bit unlucky in that the weekend has fallen in between your dispatch and delivery date. Unless, I am missing something and the UPS delivery info is incorrect and you did not receive the item on Monday. If that is the case, please let us know and we will investigate with UPS for you. Please note, if in future you need a delivery super urgently, we do offer weekend delivery services, timed AM or PM services, and in some areas same day delivery. If you email us, call us, or message us via the live chat function on our website, we are always happy to help you when you really need something delivered quickly. Hi Ross, thank you so much for the review and for the constructive feedback. I can't express enough how important it us for us to get such useful feedback from our customers! We aren't always perfect, but we are always trying to get better and better so sincere thanks for your review. When it comes to shipping, we do use an express, tracked and insured delivery service to give our customers speed and piece of mind once the order leaves our warehouse. Unfortunately, this is quite expensive, but we are looking into a cheaper economy option for small and/or low value orders going forwards. The postage charge should be quite clear on the website prior to paying, and it sounds like it wasn't for you, so I'd welcome any additional feedback as to how we might perfect this for you and future customers. We do offer free delivery over £150, or, a little tip, if you sign up to our newsletter, we do send out a free shipping coupon so you can get free delivery under £150. Thank you so much for leaving a review! Whilst it's never nice to read the not-so-perfect reviews, it's absolutely invaluable for us to hear this kind of feedback so we can perfect our service. For orders over £150 we offer free courier delivery on all orders, for orders under £150 we also use a premium courier service, but we are currently exploring the option of an economy service for customers such as yourself that would like a cheaper shipping price. Watch this space! In the meantime, for orders under £150, we do offer a free courier delivery coupon if you sign up to our newsletter. Something to bare in mind for next time. For the small item i bought the shipping charges were excessive. The shipping charges were not shown when paying with Apple Pay except after the payment button os pressed.This i find disappointing.

Hi Glyn, Thanks so much for leaving us a review. It's so important for us to perfect our service to get this kind of invaluable feedback. We are going to do some testing of the Apple Pay service on our website. I know when using the website credit card checkout, we have setup the shipping information to always appear clearly before the credit card is entered, and truth be told I did not realise that Apple Pay doesn't offer the same system. We're going to check it and if possible make some changes to the way it transacts so that shipping price is clear, because I 100% agree with you, shipping price should always be advertised before making a payment or entering payment details! Unfortunately when using third party payment gateways, they don't always allow us to make the changes to the flow of the payment process that we would like, but if it's possible, this is absolutely a change we will make. For your next order, if you want to skip the delivery charge, we do currently give a free shipping coupon to everyone that signs up to our newsletter. If you find something useful in the newsletter and want to stick around, great, if not, you can always unsubscribe later! The ordered chemical was completely wrong but they have promised to put it right, I will know in a few weeks if the costumer service is good.

Hi Robert, thank you so much for the feedback, and apologies that you received the incorrect item. Looking at the images you kindly sent over it looks like our team picked a box of "Amfix Universal" as per your order, but that the manufacturer had accidentally packed "Universal Replenisher" inside that sealed box. This was unfortunately our last unit of stock, but we've spoken to the manufacturer and they'll be sending a replacement over to you ASAP! You are welcome to keep the bottle of Universal Replenisher free of charge, hopefully this comes in handy for you. The flash centre has a good range of photographic equipment and the website site is ok. My main issue and the reason they lose 2 stars is they don't deliver the total order at the same time. With my last couple of orders, being spread out over different 3 days, each. This is a huge inconvenience and means I have to stay in until the delivery arrives (and is completely impractical).

Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. Whilst it's never nice to see a little bit of negative feedback, we see it as invaluable to improving the service we can offer to all our customers going forward, so for that we are very thankful. I've had a look at your order, and can see there was a wide variety of Colorama paper background colours on the order. Unfortunately, at the time of placing your order, we didn't have all the colours available in our central warehouse, with a couple of each of the colours only available at specific TFC stores. To speed up the delivery to you, we shipped from each store separately, rather than accumulating them in one place before dispatch. I can completely understand that receiving them all at different times would be a little frustrating. Since receiving your review, we've taken the decision to keep more Colorama colour options in stock at our central warehouse, which should ensure more of your order arrives at once going forwards (dependant on stock availability from Colorama at the time, we have had a few colours on shortage recently). For a large order with lot's of different colours on, there is a chance still that we would ship one or two colours from a store, so if you would prefer us to accumulate first and deliver in one go, we'd be very happy to do this for you. Just give us a call or drop us an email when you order, and we'll instruct the warehouse to dispatch in a way that's most convenient for you.

Good site with plenty of choice of specialist kit, pricing is very competitive but shipping took over 2 weeks for a product that was listed as in stock; didn't get a reply when I chased it up. Fortunately, it wasn't an urgent order and when it did arrive, it was excellent.

I ordered a backdrop on the 8th which I needed for the 13th, today. Emailed TFC and was told it takes 48hrs so should arrive on the 11th. Unfortunately the courier was delayed and didn't let me know and it ended up arriving Monday 13th at around 3pm, too late for the photoshoot unfortunately. TFC has offered discount on my next order, which I appreciate as it was out of their hands once it left for the courier.

Hi Sally, I'm very sorry to hear there was a delay with your parcel. I can see we shipped your Colorama paper roll on the 8th, the same day you ordered it to give you the best chance of receiving for your job. The majority of the time Colorama deliveries arrive next working day, occasionally they can take two working days, and very rarely they can take a bit longer than this. It looks like your delivery arrived on the morning of the 13th, so did end up arriving on the 3rd working day. Hopefully, just in time for your shoot. We will feed this information back to the courier, and let them know we are not satisfied with the delivery time. Unfortunatley due to the very awkward size of Colorama rolls (nearly 3m long!), none of the standard UK carriers (DPD, TNT, UPS, etc) will take them, so we are limited with our courier choices. Thankfully the courier we use does deliver the vast majority of rolls on a next-day service, but the occasional delay is possible. We can only apologise, and thank you so much for your feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve our service, so feedback like this is invaluable and will always be carefully considered. Have a lovely day, TFC

Quick delivery and item arrived intact but cost me £10 postage for 2 bulbs that weigh a few ounces. I missed delivery cost when ordering or I would have cancelled.

Over all pleased with my purchase. Was in stock and despatched quickly. My only gripe is that I had to pay £9.95 delivery for four fastners that fit into an envelope and they only cost £5.99 + VAT A cheaper delivery option would be helpful and would encourage me to purchase more parts in future from The Flash Center.
