I purchased an elinchrom fuse holder priced at £2:50 but was disappointed to be charged over £12 in total with the p&p! The product weighed a few grammes and could have been sent first class post for a couple of pounds. As I urgently needed the fuse holder I accepted the charge but i think you need to be more flexible in your shipping charges…. I note that the postage label stated that it weighed 1kg!

We are always trying to find the right balance of providing customers the best possible overall value (goods + shipping), as well as ensure that orders arrive quickly and are covered in case of damage. It does mean our standard shipping is a little more expensive, especially if you are buying a cheaper item, but I can see the item arrived with you quickly, which is great as you mention you needed it urgently. We are looking into alternative slower delivery options that you could use to save some money in the future. In the meantime, we do offer free courier delivery on all orders over £150, and if you sign up to our newsletter, we're currently offering a free courier delivery coupon for orders of any value. easy to use the website and order was despatched the same day - wonderful service - reason why this isnt full marks is that the chosen courier UPS- was slow and inefficient with delivery- said they were going to deliver one day and then didnt do it and had to wait over saturday and sunday for the item to arrive.

Hi Patricia, thank you so much for leaving us a positive review, it really means a lot to us. It's especially useful to us when we hear about anything that doesn't go perfectly, so we can improve things for the next customer, so for this we are truly thankful. Just having a look at the details of your parcel with UPS. I can see you order was placed at 4.41pm on a Thursday, and that we created the UPS label at 5.04pm that same day. Whilst most of our UPS deliveries arrive the next working day, because of how late in the day we booked the label, UPS weren't able to pick it up until the next day, on Friday. I can see the parcel was then delivered to you on Monday morning at 8.57am. I think in this particular case, and as a note for next time, if ordering on a Thursday in particular, ordering earlier in the day will give us a much better chance of getting the parcel to you before the weekend. Failing that, we do also offer the option of a weekend delivery with UPS, but this does come with an extra charge. It might be worth it though if you need something urgently for a shoot, so keep it in mind and give us a call on 02078375649 if ever you need this service. If you need anything else in future, we're always happy to help. I can't thank you enough for ordering with TFC, and for providing us such useful feedback. Bought a battery for my Canon camera, which was at a great price. I got delivery for free, as I signed up to their newsletter. However, the total price would not have been nearly as competitive if taking into account The Flash Centre's normal delivery charge, which appears to be twice as much as a lot of their competitors?

It's great to hear that you took advantage of our delivery promotion and picked up free UPS delivery as well as the battery for a great price! Please don't forget, all orders over £150 come with free delivery by standard, and there is no limit to the number of email addresses you can sign up to our newsletter for the free delivery coupon! So, if you don't want to pay for delivery ever again, there are ways around it. For the small-ish number of our customers who do pay for delivery, we only ever use a fully tracked, fully insured UPS service. That definitely comes with a price premium, but for photographers with deadlines, we hope it's also provides them the quick delivery they need with peace of mind. Thanks again for your feedback. The first part of my order arrived in good time, although delivery was pricey. The shop only had one of the item and I had ordered two, so it was sent in two batches. I was surprised I could buy two if they were out of stock beyond the the first one. I called and asked for help and was told I would be contacted with an estimation on how long it would be before the item was back in stock but didn’t hear back. Part two did arrive less than a week later, so all in all a positive experience but could have been better.

We aren't always perfect, but we are always trying to get better and better so sincere thanks for your review. When it comes to ordering products that are out of stock on our website, we do cater to quite a lot of specialist requests, so the general feedback from our customer base is that leaving the option open to order products that are out of stock, or in a higher volume than we keep in stock, is something that is generally valued. We are increasingly expanding our range into the more hobbyist side of the market that might feel differently, so we take on board your feedback for now and will use it in future decision making. That being said, if an order is part shipped, we do always aim to reach out directly to a customer personally (on top of the automated email you will have received) and I can see on this occasion we did not do that. So, please accept my apologies for that. When it comes to shipping, a little tip for you, we do offer free delivery over £150 and you weren't far off that threshold. Or, if you sign up to our newsletter, we do send out a free shipping coupon so you can get free delivery under £150. We only use an express, tracked and insured delivery service to give our customers speed and piece of mind once the order leaves our warehouse. Good experience online chat enquiring about a product. Very quick delivery, purchased before 1300 Hrs and got item the following day by UPS .. First time buyer with them may desrve the five star when i get the two or more purchases

Hi Agata, thanks so much for the 4-star review, we're pleased to hear you delivery arrived quickly. Sorry to hear that you didn't get a notification of delivery from the courier (DX), unfortunately our courier options are limited to just this one option on the large Colorama rolls nowadays. We used to send via TNT and then UPS, but sadly due to the size neither will take these items anymore. After shopping around, DX is the only option we've been left with for products of this length. Whilst they do tend to deliver quite quickly, frustratingly they don't offer a notification of delivery as part of their service. You should have received an email from us when the order was shipped with the tracking info, that hopefully came in handy. Thanks again for your feedback, if one of the more mainstream couriers that does the detailed notification system starts taking on Colorama again, we'll definitely look into making the switch (as long as we can also keep shipping prices sensible for our customers!). Unfortunately one of the flash heads was defective, bit of a palaver initially to get the unit replaced; but once customer support understood the issue the return happened without further a do. Hopefully the replacement will be on it’s way very soon.

I've still not received my purchase Update, the issues with delivery was all to do with UPS, i don't know how UPS is still in business i've had issues with them with delivering from other suppliers, they say your item is out for delivery so you wait in all day, nobody calls you, and then you get a message to say you weren't home so we've taken it to a local pick-up area. When they didn't even attempt to deliver it. Jason from the flash centre was amazing at helping me to get UPS to deliver it to me, great customer service. I'm upping my rating from 1 star to a 4 star (its not a 5 star as i wish TFC would drop UPS as they're courier).

The order was satisfied in two deliveries. The first delivery was for 8 of 10 of a single product. I was told to expect 8 items but I received no information about the other 2 until I emailed to enquire, about a week after my order. Surprise, surprise! I received an email to say that the remaining 2 were being despatched. Please improve your standards of communication with your customers.

Revising my 1-star review to 4 stars because the issue was with emails going into my Spam not with The Flash Centre customer service - Sorry about that. 4 stars instead of 5 because the item description could be clearer on having to claim the extra item via the manufactures website - I was under the impression I was receiving it at the same time and it has caused issues with a job I'm on. But I'm happy with TFC and recommend them. Cheers
