“Mussels so far consumed. Very poor quality and vary small size. About 8% of shells badly damaged. The size of the skate "wings" beggars belief. Each piece is very small and although the pack weight seems to be correct the result on the plate produces a "wing" about the size of a childs palm.”

“Not a first time purchase all I can say is highly recommended. In a time where a local quality fishmonger is a scarce sight well the produce I had was the very best quality. The prawns are sweet taste of the sea raw king prawns made amazing skewers on the bbq again the flavour amazing. Excellent service top quality produce they truly care about what there selling to the customer. I will of course be back many thanks all the best for 2026.”

“We ordered the large seafood platter as a treat for New Years Eve...together with some sushi items for another time. The sushi items are still in the freezer but we did eat the Fruits de Mer. Sadly, it was pretty disappointing and I think this was probably due to it being frozen as many of the items were completely tasteless and smushy, a bit like eating cotton wool. I complained and received a token partial refund (£25). Would I order again, No.”

“Great selection of fish and seafood. Arrives frozen and stores well. I am trying to eat more fish and enjoy trying different varieties. I like their soups and sauces as well, especially the Tom Yum soup.”

“First order with The Fish Society and overall a 3-star experience. The fish was lovely and well packaged, but delivery was a little disappointing — ordered Sunday for Wednesday and it didn’t arrive until 5pm, after nearly 48 hours in transit and starting to defrost. The number of promotional emails also feels excessive. I’m not completely convinced I’ll use them again.”

“Overall, very efficient service with good products. However, I contacted customer service regarding a data protection concern after receiving someone else’s invoice instead of mine. The initial response was automated, and I did not receive a clear follow-up. This is an area that should be taken seriously and improved.”
