We are sorry that you were disappointed that our fish is frozen Tatiana. We do let you know this on each product page under 'Key Properties' if an item is frozen or ambient.

Despite ordering two weeks ago, the order failed to be delivered. Impossible to contact anyone to sort out the problem. Not contacted or warned that there would be a problem. Absolutely dreadful. Obviously either don't care or untrustworthy.

The garlic prawns were not garlicky , not prawny ,not fishy they were bland and very ordinary for the price that you were charging. For that sort of money for what is essentially a snack I wanted

The whole order was a great disappointment,very little flavour, the fish cakes had less haddock than advertised,potted shrimps were off

One star given for ordering, delivery, packaging excellent. BUT battered scampi was awful, small amount and tasteless. Only half used and tbe remainder has been binned. I bought a second pack for my sister-in-lsw who feels the same. Overall very disappointed

For the first time I have to express my utter disappointment in the quality of the plaice fillets in my last order! Despite steaming them in foil covered in butter they turned out utterly tasteless! Considering your standing as one of the best fishmongers in Britain you have definitely not reached your high standard you are famous for! N Schwarz

Look ok but very fatty after cooking in oven. No flavour and not much prawn. Bought these as a starter for my birthday lunch. Very disappointing.

My order was £49 and I was so disappointed with the quality (crab) and the portions for such a high price. I will not order from FS again

Ordered salmon and tuna to make sushi at home, it arrived yesterday and we defrosted it today. The salmon is fine but not tasty enough for sashimi. We then tried the tuna and both my partner and I gagged at the taste, even our dog wouldn't eat it. We both love sushi and are very disappointed with our first and definitely last order from this site.

The website is quite misleading. I was thinking when you meant raw fish, it was fresh fish. When my order arrived, then I realised it is frozen fish. I had to go to the FAQ section to find out you are selling ONLY frozen fish. A normal user like me will not go to FAQ section before ordering. The quality of fish is similar to other frozen fish venders.

Sorry that you feel this way about our crayfish. They are very highly rated by our customers and boast 4.9 out of 5 stars on Reviews. Taste is subjective so we understand that not everyone is going to enjoy them.

You cancelled a large order I placed for the holidays the same day it was supposed to be delivered. I was appalled. You should be ashamed.

Sorry that your experience with The Fish Society has been a disappointing one. Cancelling orders is never done without good reason and we always phone/email our customers if there is an issue with their order. If we don't receive a reply in time and feel we have insufficient information to deliver an order successfully then we have to take the decision to not send. This is never done without notifying the customer. This is always done ahead of the expected delivery date and not on the day of delivery.

I have been very happy with what I have bought from the Fish Society in the past, but not this time. The smoked trout fillets were very dry.

We are sorry to hear this Tim but would like to add that we have had no other comments of this nature regarding our smoked trout fillets.
