Ordered fish for Christmas but Fish Society decided it to send it a week before hand while also advertising for new orders for delivery in the day that I’d booked. Spoke to a director… all he was interested in was that Christmas was his chance to make money. The fact that he’d sent me a delivery of Lobster and Scallops that I couldn’t store for a week received no sympathy no apology nor an offer to reinstate the original delivery date that I’d agreed. Some of the worst customer service and the most unpleasant reaction from a supplier that I’ve ever encountered. Thankfully another online Fishmonger, that we’ve now recommend to friends and family, brilliantly came to the rescue!

I have never been more disapointed by a company. Well done on making an ill man go out in the rain. Get a better delivary sustem.

Cannot review what I have not received! Extremely poor service. First order did not arrive due to Courier problems, so a second order was placed. This should have been delivered on 22nd December, still in time for Christmas. It did not arrive either. I received no communication from the Fish Society or the Courier to say if this was order was coming. It also never arrived and I was left with no seafood required for my Christmas buffet. As at 29 December, I still have not received any communication, despite several emails, nor have I received a full refund.

My order (made a month in advance) was cancelled by the Fish Society with no explanation (other that "due to an stock error..."). This happened on the day of dispatch (29 December). This was part of our new year's menu, and was supposed to arrive the following day (30 December). If there is an error in your stock you should have inform earlier instead of waiting to the very last moment leaving a client with no options. Very unprofessional company. I'll never order again from it

It would great to be able to review the smoked salmon side but the first delivery never happened and the replacement delivery never happened. Very poor communication and follow up. Currently waiting for my refund.

These guys let me down with my Christmas order and didn’t even let me know that it wasn’t going to be delivered after speaking to them about this they said I was just one of 100 customers that had missed out. Like I’m not important maybe just because it’s a£80 order they don’t care. And then didn’t get my refund so I can replace it Took a week to get my money back. Sarah from customer services was rude. I was offered a discount for my next order which I would never order from. Then again I will go to Skype from now on. Sad and confused and. Good luck to anyone who uses them

No order received at all. Did not receive first order, nor the second. Received no communication either from you or Courier. Left high and dry two days before Christmas with no seafood for my Christmas buffet. Appalling service.

Hello Glynis We're sorry that you feel this way given the number of email exchanges that we have had. As you are aware, our couriers had massive logistical issues over Christmas and New Year which resulted in a number of late/non deliveries. As soon as we were aware of your non delivery we sent out a replacement. Regrettably due to the ongoing courier issues, DPD failed to deliver your order for a second time. All of this was totally beyond our control. We therefore issued you a full refund. We really did try our very best under some very challenging conditions.

This was entirely beyond our control - we really did do our very best under the extremely challenging conditions and completely understand your disappointment. Although it seems my order was picked up by FEDEX on 12/12, & I was promised delivery twice, the last time being 23/12, I have not received this order.

I felt very let down and not in any sense valued. I appreciated (as I told The Fish Society customer services team) that some distribution difficulties would arise, given adverse weather and strikes, but it was clear that The Fish Society really couldn't care less.

I think that you should look carefully at your courier. I would make a New Year order but I cannot trust your courier.
