Hi Southan, we're sorry this turned up later than usual. 19:44 is certainly outside of DPDs typical time frame. We endeavor to get orders to customers hard frozen but regrettably we can't guarantee it 100% of the time with unforeseen factors such as the above. As long as items arrive cold there are perfectly safe to consume or refreeze, we can provide further details for reassurance should you wish, please let us know. May we ask the email address your sent your correspondence to as we can't find any records through the various channels from the email address on your account. You didn’t. I paid £5 for delivery before 1pm but delivery was not until after 4pm. Further instead of leaving the package in the safe place I designated it was delivered to a neighbour. I have requested repayment but have so far not received a satisfactory reply.

I used a 20% off voucher to buy the fish. It never arrived. In fairness you were apologetic- but I was left with no fish and no 20%. You should take your deliveries away from DPD. They were awful - each time I rang I got put through to a call centre abroad and they couldn’t help. After 2days of being told they had received my delivery from you, they told me that it was marked perished and I should contact you because you had advised them not to deliver. Your products have always been excellent before and hopefully this was a one off.

We have given you a full refund and of course, would honor the 20% discount on your next order so please get in touch so we can sort this out for you. Hello Dmytro On the morning of your delivery you would have received a notification (email/text) giving you a one hour delivery time slot. Your order was delivered at 13.08 on Wednesday 12th April. You would have received a notification letting you know that your order had been delivered. However it would appear that you did not contact The Fish Society until Friday 14th April We appreciate that you contacted DPD on Thursday 13th April who suggested you contact us but you didn't contact us until Friday 14th. When we are alerted to these situations after such a long time we have no comeback with DPD and are unable to get their driver to return to your premises. As per our terms and conditions, we ask that, if you do not have your order at the end of the one hour delivery time slot on your designated delivery day, you must contact us so that we can take up the issue with our couriers, DPD. So, due to the delay in notifying us that your parcel was no longer at your front door, we are unable to offer a replacement or refund which we hope you will understand.

The fish has been frozen long time ago, some in 2021, which is unacceptable. I could have bought fresher frozen fish from a normal supemarket. I won't dare to feed my cat with it. The hering was the worst. It looks very old and It's surrounded with black blood. Disgusting experience.

It's the 10th of April, my order should have arrived on the 6th of April but hasn't been delivered yet. my plans for Easter's cooking were ruined.

Have ordered many times , but today you delivered 3 packs of "Whitby Seafoods Scampi" nothing wrong with that but I can get that in Asda. I guess you have been repacking it and forgot this time so obviously in the future I will get from the supermarket cheaper

WE are sorry we have crated so much confusion. Everybody thinks there is just one kind of Whitby Scampi. Please be aware that Whitby produces many different grades of scampi. The one we sell is the best and most expensive and so far as we can see is not available in any high street supermarkets (although a different item with a nearly identical pack is). We used to buy this scampi in 10kg boxes and repack it in 250g bags. But when Whitby recently ran out of the 10kg boxes they sent us 200g bags instead. We just shipped these out as they arrived. However, we can assure you that the scampi you previously had in our plain packs is the same as the scampi in the Whitby bag. BUT IS NOT THE SAME AS MOST WHITBY SCAMPI IN SUPERMARKETS

I ordered bulk buy frozen plaice fillets, and I thought that plaice had a white side,and a dark side to the fish. Upon opening the box I found over 80% of the fillets were white and I had a few dark fillets. When I placed the order I spoke to the owner, who promised me that the fish would be excellent, I agree with him because my family have enjoyed the fish, but through my fishing experience I have always caught plaice with dark and white sides, it seems that I was given the majority of white sides because they are not easy to sell and most people prefer the dark side because it is normally a thicker piece of fish, if I order again please I hope I get a fair order

Hi Gerald, We're sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the make up of this case. We don't actively try to include more of one side over the other as implied, it really is luck of the draw so to speak but perhaps we should look to make this a 50-50 split as and when processing time allows. Comments taken on-board. As you say the fish was EXCELLENT we feel the one star company review is particularly harsh, especially reading this 6 months after purchase. Sadly didn't on this occasion. Staff were polite and professional however they didn't offer to try and fix the problem in any way.
