Nope. I had to scramble round shops to find what I needed as my order didn’t arrive. I called you and there was no answer during your working hours. So, so disappointed. Will not be ordering again…

Hello Charlie Reading your review is the first time we were aware that your order hadn't arrived. However we can see from our records that your order didn't arrive because you selected a delivery date of 22/02. Today is 20/02.

1. Everything is very expensive here :( 2.The ads you send start to get annoying and you may lose the customer

I wasnt unhappy with the Fish company , we never received the delivery. The advise from courriers was it was delivered to our porch , actually the picture we saw was of the front door , on a main road . We did try and complain at the time but didnt get a reply , with everything that has been going on this slipped my mind . You reallly do need to take this up with the courriers, christmas we know is a busy time for them , but to leave something in broad daylight on a main road is totally unacceptable i look forward to your reply regard s keith

The Fish Society did NOT make me happy. Using a £75 Christmas voucher from my granddaughter who uses your services I received 1.8 kilos of frozen fish plus a small tin of anchovies for the eye watering sum in excess of £58 which included a 20% discount. As I had recently received over 4 kilos of excellent fresh fish from a supplier in Newlyn Cornwall at a cost of £45 I am seriously disappointed. As I will not be using your company again I am resigned to losing the balance of my gift voucher which means that my 1.8 kilos of fish will have cost my granddaughter£75. Thank you so much Fish Society. You are welcome to use this E Mail on your website. I have no expectation of receiving a reply as you have failed to respond too my previous EMail

Good afternoon David, We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment, this is the last thing we want and truly do everything we can for our customers. With the nature of your comments though we are at something of a loss. All prices, weights and product information is displayed very clearly on the website. There are numerous images and even videos on the vast majority of product pages to give a clear indication of whats on offer. Hello Unfortunately our courier failed to deliver a number of orders on the day your order was due to be delivered for which we apologise. You have received a full refund.

This was a gift It is the second time I have purchased. I knew it was overpriced but some photos were misleading and it promised free delivery over £60 so I bought extra fish which was mass packaged as you would get for a third of price in supermarket. I ticked the box that said free delivery but was charged delivery. Customer services didn’t bother to reply for a week and then just said Saturday delivery is not free there was no option to choose any other free delivery other than the box I ticked. It has always been overpriced and when I compare it to similar products from Waitrose or m&s in some cases theirs are better and a fraction of the price.

Hello Barbara As we explained in our email to you, there is no charge for weekday deliveries on orders over £60 to non remote postcodes. Unfortunately you selected/agreed to a Saturday delivery and therefore a £3.50 surcharge was applied to your order.

Ordered for a special dinner on 30th December (anniversary). Text from courier the night before promising delivery next day. Nothing arrived so call Fish Society. Got a load of waffle as to how the delay had occured. Told that it would be delivered on 31st which was no good to me as I was going away for the new year break. Yes, I received a full refund but my partners disappointment could not be compensated for. In the event the lobster was still delivered and taken in by a neighbour who was house sitting for us. He called me and advised that the lobsters ice had completely melted so as far as I was concerned it could not be trusted to be safe to eat. However, he froze the lobster as he knew how much I had paid for it as he was concerned about its size. It was tiny and the price tag of £45 was clearly extortionate. I am so glad things worked out as they did as the lobster was only big enough for a starter. I will not be usung this company again.

Order didn't arrive on the date specified and no communication from The Fish Society to say there was a problem. When I contacted them they said an admin error had meant my order had not been processed and the fish would not be being delivered. They gave me a refund at least. This was my first and last time ordering from them

Sadly the order got missed due to a high number of orders. A shame as first time ordering and looking forward to trying. Call to apologise and it’s happens just a shame. Refund issued.

I never received the package I ordered and sent you an email a few days ago regarding this. Dear Customer Team, I am so sorry to have to report that I did not receive my package. I opened a claims case with FedEx when I received a notice from them saying they had delivered the package, when there was no package to be found. I was at home at the time of the purported delivery, so would have known if an attempt had been made/package had been left. The courier was clearly in error, but neither the courier nor FedEx has accepted responsibility. I have had a lengthy back and forth with FedEx, which FedEx terminated when they say they couldn’t determine what had happened to the package. (The courier claimed he didn’t remember where he had left it). I had not authorised it to be left with a neighbour, and as no one signed for it, there was no way to trace it to an individual or residence. Of course I checked with our neighbours, and neither of them had received it. I am happy to forward to you my correspondence with FedEx regarding this shipment if it’s of interest to you. You can imagine I am very unhappy about this. Not only were the content highly perishable, but we were looking forward to enjoying the fish during the holiday period when our fishmongers are closed. We love the black cod we get from you, and the high price is worth it. However, the black cod is expensive, and I can’t afford to have your products go missing. Having failed to get FedEx to accept accountability and compensate me for my loss, I feel less confident than before about ordering pricey perishables. Perhaps you can check with them and work out a a way to prevent such a thing happening again? Meanwhile,I’m sorry to say I will remain reluctant to re-order. Abysmal. After two changes of delivery date, the fish failed to be delivered at all. Had to dash into the local supermarket to buy fish for our guests and, of course, nothing says you care like farmed salmon from Morrisons
