It didn‘t. Badly let down with a large Christmas order

Despite a guaranteed delivery and ordering well in advance my parcel did not arrive until it was too late.

Didn’t make me happy , delivery date was changed without my knowledge. And FedEx cancelled my delivery at 18.04 should if arrived by 6pm . Said will try tomorrow (I’m out all day) don’t want fresh fish sitting in lorry fir 2 days. Not at all happy will contact fish society tomorrow morning 16th December

It didn’t I’m afraid. I ordered for the first time for a special occasion only to be told just before delivery that you couldn’t guarantee delivery (not good with fish!) as a result I had no choice to cancel the order. What’s really frustrating is that you continue to send me an offer each day, but why should I trust you having been let down really badly? This was a hugely disappointing experience and I can’t see myself giving you another chance

As far as I know the fish is still at the Emerson’s Green depot. I was really excited about the fish but it seems DPD has really let you down. Please see my email from Dec 4th. I am still waiting for a refund or if you could resend the same order in a way that would actually arrive at my door then that would also be wonderful - don’t mind which. All the best, Jack

Hello Sangeeta Please accept our apologies. It is an incredibly difficult and frustrating scenario for everyone. We are advised by DPD about problem areas on a daily basis, it's too risky sending to these advised locations as the parcels would be destroyed if delayed too long. We are also without the Royal Mail. To combat this we have opened an account with FedEx and have just started to send with them in the last day or so. These processes regrettably aren't instant due to the paperwork involved but we pushed it as quickly as possible. However we can see that we have a revised delivery date for your order which is 14th December.

The order has not been delivered. Your email address for providing a later delivery does not work. I have always been happy in the past

Hi Nicholas Please check your emails for the one I sent last night about delivery hiccups. I sent it to 50 people and 40 have already replied. Your order (and 49 others) had to be held back because our courier, DPD, has a backlog in these postcodes. So your delivery might have arrived very late. We are offering you delivery on your choice of 13/14/15 Dec (by a different courier, Fedex). If you can't find my email to you please email customerteam@thefishsociety.co.uk advising which day suits you. Sorry about all this but when our courier lets us down (which is very rare), we have to proceedd as best we can. Alistair

I'm afraid the delivery that I was expecting on Friday 2nd Dec has not arrived. It is now 5pm on Monday 5th. This is the first time I have had a problem with an order but this has been truly terrible! You will surely not expect me to take delivery of fish that has been hanging around at the courier's depot for several days?!!

Still not received our order, tried contacting them twice but still no reply! Disappointed as used them before and always been great, but questioning whether I’d use them again.

Hello Lillya We are sorry about this and are looking into it now. This is the first time we were aware that you haven't received your order. You requested a Royal Mail delivery and unfortunately due to the postal strikes, many orders have been severely delayed
