“If I’m being honest the lobster was tasteless. We were so looking forward to our Christmas Eve treat and for £40 it has to be a treat. We expected not much meat but XL was really normal lobster size. I could have lived with it had it had the taste I would expect. Delivery was faultless and well packaged. Maybe freezing it hampered the flavour? Disappointed”

“Wrong food delivered and no response from Customer Service: Ordered large scallops (2 packs) and received small (2 packs) cost difference is ~£50 and no response from customer service after 12 days. Will be cancelling "membership"!”

“Very disppointing experience. Having been let down by a supermarket on the day before Christmas I tried Fish Society. The lobster was small and flavourless and much less than I would expect given the premium prices. Will not recommend and will not buy again. Far better fish mongers out there.”

“Mandy rescued you from a 1 star review. Gravadlax arrived, fully thawed, on dec 24th, one pack to be used on 26 and one on 29th. Concerned about freshness, particularly re 29th. Was unimpressed by your processes and packaging. Mandy, however, successfully reassured me re edibility of pack for 26th and managed to arrange a replacement for meal on 29th, which duly arrived ( frozen) on 28th. Both packs tasted very good. My doubts still remain about the quality of your products, which are highly dependent on the date and quality of your packaging.”

“Generally I'm happy with my order, thanks. All was fresh and well packed. And I keep recommending the company to my friends. However, in this order, I've bought 3 packs of place, supposed to have 2 fish in each (or 4 halves) to serve 6 people. In one pack there were only three halves. I don't know whether I was charged by weight or number of halves, but I would prefer to be guaranteed the described number of items being priced accordingly. I didn't take a picture - too much stress when you are entertaining. Best wishes”

“The fish society always offer great quality fish. Our fish was well prepared, descaled. They offer a good value for the quality and also good variety. It comes super well packaged in dry ice and solid box. Delivery is easily traceable and on times. Been ordering for few years now and every time 10 out 10 marks.”
