“I needed some helmets double quick and had no time to come and collect them -the helmets were bought over the phone and collected by a friend of mine in Ambleside. The rating would have been the full 5 stars however, a security tag had been left on one of the helmets so they had to be returned the following day by my mother-in-law to have the tag removed.”

“I ordered some Meindl walking boots from the Epicentre. They arrived very quickly and without any postal surcharges (I am on the Isle of Skye and some companies charge a hefty penalty for being 'off mainland'). So overall very pleased with the service and would be happy to use them again.”

“Visited shop in Ambleside - great shop and super customer service. Ordered Mountain Equipment Lattice Jackets online but unfortunately too small. Speedy delivery. No problem with returns. All round great customer experience. Would certainly shop there again.”

“I have discovered The Epicentre only recently. I purchased several items online and was very happy with the service. Items were dispatched immediately - very quick delivery. I like the variety of products in the shop, they stock brands which are not readily available in other shops. Items are described well however it would be helpful to have more photos on the website. I had to return a pair of boots that didn't fit and was refunded promptly without any hassle. I've been very happy with the overall shopping experience and will use this shop again.”

“Service exactly as listed. Reliable performance and credible comms. I bought a pair of Keen flip flops, which are right at the bottom end of the sizing bracket, so you might consider ordering a size up just to be on the safe side. Otherwise excellent flip flops. I would buy from Epicentre again on the basis of this transaction.”

“Ordered a pair of Meindl boots at a very good price, and was very pleased with the service. I made an error with the delivery postcode,corrected this with an e-mail, and had a very prompt response late the same night. All round excellence! Very very pleased with the service.”
