“Need to have more answers eg apprenticeship for job where its kept etc. I answered the best I could but then they changed them making price go up.”

“The comparison service provided is good. You are certainly shown competitive prices. The problem with the Bike Insurer is having to give your mobile phone number and then receiving numerous unwanted calls for a few days after you have given your number on the site. Fortunately this doesn't last for long but it is annoying and sufficient for me to use another comparison site.”

“This is a great insurance company but the only reason I didn’t go for it was the fact it was well over prices Iv been riding for 5 years and it was over £1000 to get myself insured on a small 125cc.”

“Comparison site ok when selected company to insure with it was a nightmare they wanted lic no and nin which I gave and it said they received them only to be sent a letter saying they had not received them had Chat to them and resend asked that was ok they said only to then sent another letter saying they wanted proof off ncd both letters threatening insurance cancellation”

“The cheapest quote was from MCE Insurance. I decided to take it, however, when I tried to pay, the price went up by nearly £40. I contacted 'The Bike Insurer' and they didn't want to know. "You'll have to take it up with MCE Insurance", I was told. So, I 'took it up' with MCE Insurance. I gave them the quote reference number they asked for and they denied ever having quoted that figure! I had to send copies of the quote to the MCE girl's personal e-mail before they would believe me. I had to pay the higher price first, then I was promised a refund when "the manager, who isn't in at the moment" had seen the quote off The Bike Insurer and authorised it. So, I waited. Then I waited some more. Then I got a call and it was explained to me that I could have the policy at the quoted price ..... BUT ONLY WITH A £1250 VOLUNTARY EXCESS ! I should have gone with Carole Nash in the first place!”

“Very good first year directly by phone. Not as good using comparison site and continuing with you. It felt like a different company and did cost me extra money.”

“Average price compared to other insurers nothing extra special ,nothing stands out, a few extras thrown in would of been eye catching and make me want to stay with the same company but as a 1st time biker i see nothing to make me be loyal as stay next year with bike insurer sorry.”

“They got me insured but because of the situation of being an immigrant my 50 years of experience doesnt help at all....you pay through the nose the same as a 18 year old with no experience or wisdom. It does seem unfair at best and poor business at worst but at the end of the day I do at least have insurance and can ride.”
