“Choosing an insurance company was easy, but the company I chose made a typo error with the bike's registration number. When they discovered THEIR mistake, they wanted to cancel my policy, BUT were happy to correct their mistake if I paid another seventy quid to cover the cost of their administration, etc. I just hope they are as good at paying out (if needed) as they are at taking it.... Jokers.”

“I was very happy until, I moved house to be then told they wouldn't insure me. This has never happened to me before. We moved from the Midlands to Berkshire area, I am looking after poorly family so had to give my job up but there doesn't seem to be a label for 59 between jobs living of partners pension savings and supporting an ill parent to won't insure me. Very disappointing and a stress I could of done without on top of moving and a parent on end of life”

The Bike Insurer is a price comparison website, so we don’t make decisions about whether cover can continue following a change in circumstances such as an address or employment status. These are made by the insurer or broker you took the policy out with, based on their underwriting criteria. We do understand how frustrating this can be, especially when things change unexpectedly, but this would need to be taken up directly with your provider as they’re best placed to explain their decision.
