Not very helpfull, had to phone got a quote 2x the price they had online which was quite funny. Appalling customer service. Only good thing is they remind you of payment non stop.

Customer service was good and helpful, but their price beat guarantee was a lie. I checked a few websites and got a quote from CompareTheMarket which was coming cheaper than The Bike Insurer - called up and spent over an hour on hold/talking with the rep who was polite but at the end of it all, they said sorry, we can't beat that price. Despite it being plastered all over their website as a 'promise' and a guarantee. Feel very much misled and a waster of my time. No issue with the person on the phone who was great, but you can't 'guarantee' something and then not deliver. Very disappointed.

The comparison website was great but l object to being interroged by the insurance company in a manner that suggests l am trying to defraud them by not garaging my bike or covering more miles than l have declared, it was not a pleasant experience,l am 57 with an unblemished license and history.

Won’t use this comparison site again. They are too pushy. Told them I had sorted my insurance they kept on send me emails.

Promise of cashback if you used this company to purchase motorcycle insurance. On that basis took out insurance but cashback was not forthcoming and the company claim that there is no record of the purchase being made. I have supplied policy numbers etc as proof but they still refuse to pay out.

While it was apparently efficient via phone, which is where I started the quote, and competent, I then retrieved the quote that was sent via email for future reference when I later in the day decided to take on the offer with MCE as previously set up through the call with The Bike Insurer. It is obviously my fault that I didn't double check properly the data before finalising and confirming, as I was a bit in a hurry and clearly careless, but I didn't expect to find so many issues with it and wrong information, taken from god knows where, as I thought that the data would have been entered correctly by the operator via phone. It turned out I had to change a lot of information which was either way off or slightly different from what agreed and declared over the phone with The Bike Insurer. Still, it was my fault to confirm without double checking properly, but such a disappointment that the data was filled in by The Bike Insurer in such a sloppy way, and that I had to pay over £70 on top of the premium just to change these information the day after I received the policy document. The quote was the same as the one offered by CompareTheMarket, but I thought that it would be easier to get this one instead because I conveniently received the recap ready to buy via email... I Will NEVER use The Bike Insurer again.

I was looking for classic bike insurance for a 1963 lambretta, I did a search on Google for classic bike insurance, and the Bike Insurer came up. So I put mine and the bikes details in and it came back with a competitive quote via devitt insurance. I paid for the policy and thought all was fine. Devitt’s then contacted me on a separate matter regarding the policy, where it transpired that I wasn’t covered on a classic insurance policy, just a normal policy, which only gave me scrap value of a £5k bike if it was stolen or damaged beyond repair. I trusted the on line tool, to take into account that my bike was a 1963 classic and not a bit of an old dog. Obviously the site isn’t clever enough to pick up on the nuances entered. As I’d searched for classic bike insurance I took it for granted it would. Devitt’s cancelled the policy, and were very understanding about my issue. They only charged me for the days I had been covered and didn’t charge me a cancellation fee. THANK YOU DEVITT Bike insurance I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for bike insurance, real people you can speak to!!

Took out what thought was a good policy, only to find out something was missing. So within a day of receiving the docs I contacted the insurer to make an adjustment, and lo and behold no adjustments can be made once the policy is in force. Even for 24hrs! Very Poor service.

This website is very useful and I am happy with the recommendation I received, but after using it I started receiving scam phone calls and texts from all sorts of suspicious companies. I am guessing my personal details have been shared without my permission, hence the low rating.

Sorry for only 2 stars but only good was communication. After that, even MOT has been delayed because lock down, I will have to delivery paperwork from my CBT, no question ask, no letter saying we give You more time on that hard situation. Money gone, insurance gone, now I'm looking for better time and better insurance company.

Only thing that comes back to my mind is that I've selected from a list of options that the bike is kept over night in a shed, got the quote and paid for it... Next day I got a phone call from insurer and been asked again where bike's being kept, with my answer came an £40 increase as well. Disappointed, I can't wait for next year to come... I will definitely not gonna use either comparison site and insurer again, even with a better renewal.
