“Excellent course! I achieved my level 5 diploma through hard work and persistence. The support of the organisation exceeded expectations. Feedback from the assignments helped guide me. Allowance to extend the course meant that working full time and completing the course was possible. The classroom tutor was friendly and gave me a reference that I feel very proud to present to future employers. Thank you to The TEFL organisation... “I loved the experience. Being a teacher myself in Algeria, it was very enriching and helpful. There were alot of subtle tips that were extremely useful in class. It gave me sense of accomplishment as I love my job and hope to keep improving. The flexibility of the course was relieving and the testing was manageable. So.. thank you 🫶”

“I’ve taken many online courses over the years and I give top marks for TEFL. I’m a certified teacher who’s worked all over the world and have taken many online professional development courses to keep up with my knowledge about how I can be a better educator. I wanted to add certification for teaching English to my resumes/cv. Some of the videos are longer than they need to be to get the concept across but overall this is an excellent training program. I will be using it to teach one on one overseas. I didn’t need some of the categories that were covered in the certification program but I now have knowledge about those areas too. I recommend this training program to anyone wanting to teach English.”

“The TEFL curriculum was adequately challenging while being accessible. The assessments helped me practice methodology concepts that were daunting at first but became tangible as I worked through the assignments. The tutors were professional and marked the work in a timely manner.”

“I thought the coursework was good. The last section on all of the tech platforms was a bit too long, it would make sense to have a bit less on the platforms and some good reference charts. My main frustration and critique was that I was falsely accused of using AI. I have a degree in linguistics [magna cum laude] from UC Berkeley, and I have passed three US Bar Exams. I have studied French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Nyamweze, Luiseño, and Japanese. I would NEVER consider using AI in a course like this, yet I guess my work was so good that the very naive evaluator thought it was AI. I requested an apology but NEVER received one. I am a professional working under ethical rules, and the accusation was a bit shocking. TEFL needs to be more professional in [1] evaluation of work, and [2] admitting it made an embarrassing mistake. All in all I would recommend the course.”

“I enjoyed the course much more than I expected I would and I was very pleased that I was able to focus and get the course done.I liked the lay out (starting with grammar module etc) and the videos of actual classes in all the modules. The quizzes were reasonably good but sometimes I thought the questions were cryptic (perhaps it was the way they were worded) and that seemed unnecessary.I cant give you a specific example but I recall feeling that way a few times.My biggest problem was understanding how to deliver the presentation part of PPP lesson. Thats where I fell short in some assignments but my tutor's feedback was always helpful and useful. I passed my course and I am ready to start my first teaching job so thank you.”

“It was a great course however a little strict on the rules I feel like when it comes to missing a session for any reason if that was slightly more relaxed it would have been a five star experience”
