“I enjoyed the course very much. It was well planned and folowed an easy to follow flow of material. The assignments were a good challenge but not too difficult or overy extensive. The videos throughout the whole course were very helpful and well put together.”

“A course designed by idiots, for idiots. Simplistic quizzes that only serve to challenge your patience (example shown in the attachments), arbitrary definitions and principles drummed up by god knows who and outdated teaching concepts (e.g. learning styles) that continue to highlight why education in the UK is at it is. The only saving grace, is that it's cheap.”

Our grammar section is intended as a refresher rather than an in-depth language course. We introduce this before moving on to teaching methodology because understanding how English works grammatically is a very important part of being able to explain it clearly to future students. Even fluent speakers often find that teaching grammar requires a different level of awareness than simply using the language naturally. The quizzes are designed to reinforce these core concepts before progressing into lesson planning, classroom techniques, and teaching practice. While not every theory or approach covered will appeal to every learner, the course aims to provide a broad introduction to methods and ideas that trainees still come across in English language teaching worldwide. “I recently completed the 120 hour TEFL course and I’m very happy with my experience. The course was well-structured, practical, and engaging from start to finish. I particularly want to thank my tutor Alex, who was excellent throughout the course. “Overall, the course provided useful information and covered many important teaching concepts. However, I found that many of the videos were unnecessarily long, especially the classroom interaction examples. There was a very strong focus on eliciting answers from students, but in reality this approach only works well when students already have a relatively high level of English proficiency. I also found the online teaching assignments excessively long and time-consuming. Since I am not interested in teaching online, I think online teaching should be offered as a separate optional module rather than being a major part of the course.”

“Thank you for the course! I really enjoyed it and have already implemented the methods in my lessons. The course talks about methodology and structure of a lesson, but doesn't really cover the structure of a course. How often should I review the material with my students? Do my students need tests, and do we do them in class? I think the course content would benefit from answering these questions. One more thing I'd change about the course is the tests. Most of the times the answers are obvious and don't check understanding. I really liked the assignments though! The tutor's feedback was very comprehensive and useful.”

“I found the course to be comprehensive and well presented, though I felt that the tutors in the classrooms could have been given better resources. Having said that, though, I pursued adult education when I lived in London and they had the same restrictions. In retrospect it showed how to conduct a class with minimal resources. The students were a good mix of levels which highlighted how to work with different types of students. My tutor, Arthur, was always helpful and easy to contact, replying to any queries promptly, given the time difference (I live in Australia) and giving helpful feedback.”
