“Great course for giving you the fundamentals of teaching. Enjoyed the « do it at your own pace » style of learning. Would’ve been nice to see some more realistic videos on how to handle disorderly classes and disruptions for different situations and ages. The tutors give helpful feedback on your assignments.”

“The 120hr online TEFL course is polished, well maintained, suitably challenging when it comes to assignments, and come with great personalised, and specific, feedback which is really invaluable. I can absolutely thank this qualification for the job offers and interviews I have had since obtaining it. If you are teaching English abroad, in Europe or elsewhere, there may be no better, or cost-effective choice of course. 11/10.”

“The 120-hour course is amazingly comprehensive and well-delivered in a highly professional way. “I attended the 3 day classroom practice, and recommend the experiencial learning. Asif helped us understand how it is to be a student, and start learning from scratch, as well as tools and techniques for more advanced students. “This was my first time doing an online teaching certificate. I found the course easy to follow and I appreciated the feedback on my assignments. In certain sections, I would have appreciated to see more sample lessons to get a better understanding of an active classroom.”

“For someone keen on teaching English, the course is pretty straightforward to navigate through so that you’re aware of what each section will contain. The quizzes are a good way of nudging students toward active recall as they make their way through the content. One small issue I had was that sometimes the multiple choice graded quizzes seemed to be trying to ‘trick’ students as opposed to genuinely challenge learning. By this I mean that the questions may be slightly cryptically worded, or a repeat of an earlier question with one word changed. This is not an issue in itself since, of course, the learner has a responsibility to read everything clearly. It’s just that this has the potential to stray more toward a critical reading exercise/brain teaser as opposed to a test of understanding.”

“Although the videos themselves are not state of the art, high production value they make up for it by being extremely articulate and educational. There is a temptation to click through the modules but this is a disservice as a lot of the information given is valuable if you can take your time and take notes and truly soak it in. You get as much as you put in. The quizzes are designed to not punish but to reinforce giving you as many tries as you want to get the right answers so you can deduce why. And the assignments are straight forward and you are given plenty of information to make a solid first pass, and the tutor responses within the next day give you enough information to fix what you’re missing. I was surprised at how thorough the grammar and the methodology courses were and the rest help you reinforce what you’ve learned.”

“Dear Alan, Thank you for reaching out. The TEFL course was fun and overall a really good learning experience. I especially appreciated the tutor’s support – they were helpful and encouraging throughout. One area where I feel there could be improvement is the quality of the course videos. At times, the videos gave a bit of an older, classroom-style look (almost like from the 90s). Updating them with a fresher, more modern approach would make the learning experience even more engaging. Overall, I enjoyed the course and am glad to have completed it successfully.”

“The course was overall very well structured, but at times I felt that some exercises could have benefited from clearer and more detailed explanations. I also believe it would be helpful to provide guidance on how to create lesson sequences that include multiple lesson plans for each level. This way, teachers know exactly where to begin and how to progress with each student. Finally, it would be a great addition to include a PDF syllabus summarizing everything covered in the course, along with more supplementary resources.”

“Overall, a fantastic set of courses, although the order in which some assignments are presented is a little weird. I think it would be more important to go over the concepts that will be frequent. Here, the past, present, and future tenses are constantly used early on, but you don't actually get a definition or example of them until way later on, which could be very confusing and problematic if someone tries to follow a similar structure in their own lessons, they may confuse their students.”
