“I really enjoyed the quality of this online program. The lessons were clear and demonstrative, it was never too burdensome in belaboring the points. I do have two critiques: 1. the written assignments - it would be nice if the ways in which they are assigned was more standardized. I messed one up a few times because I was targetting the wrong education level. A table with the important contextual information was used for the final assignment, and I found it much clearer than any previous one 2. video playback settings - I had to go into the web code and modify video speed manually. I personally watch most things at 1.5-2x speed, but with these videos there are long sections where not much is going on. It would be nice to be able to speed along.”

“Excellent presentation of lessons, well written assignment instructions, excellent response of grading tutor. My only suggestion is that you add a video (at least one) for the Teaching Large Classes course. After watching instructors teach very high level students in small class settings, it was extremely difficult to extrapolate this information to create a viable lesson for a large class. Regardless of the amount of instruction on how to organize for teaching in this environment (which was plentiful!), an actual presentation would have made all the difference... especially to a visual learner such as myself or someone who has never set foot in a classroom, let alone been charged with presenting information to 60 teenagers(!) Please help future students by providing a video for this course.”

“The course is a perfect consolidation of ‘English Grammar’ and the ‘methods of teaching’. By doing TEFL, I got an opportunity to ‘revive’ and ‘refresh’ my knowledge of the language, and apparently got to know the most innovative ways to teach.”

“Easy to navigate the course, I do not feel I have learned all the grammar topics there are so many of his was more or an intro really. My trainers feedback was sometimes confusing and I was not clear on how I could contact her directly to get clarification. This resulted me having to submit work multiple times I was not sure was correct just to get further feedback. The feedback was given in good time which was a positive. The course content was massively on face to face training but I want to deliver online. Luckily I have experience in online teaching but would have been better to focus more on this as it is the way the work is going. I am qualified and can now look for work but I still feel there will be a lot for me to learn.”

“Hi, Loved the course & was given plenty of time to complete being in full time work & on Business Trips with my current job. Remembered so much from school days & understood it better now than then. Lesson plans was something I previously underestimated but the more advise & practive I got the more I enjoyed planning them out. Big Thanks to Alex, my mentor, who was extremely helpful in marking my assignments, providing advise whether my assignment passed or not. Very happy with the course & confident now I can take my new skills into the Classroom later this year. Thanks John”

“Overall I wasn't really happy with my experience of the course. I felt the grammar explanations were insufficient, the layout of the course was poor (large number of pages to click through without any real purpose), the video demonstrations of classes had terrible audio, and the questions for many of the assessments were extremely vague and open-ended. The sales pitch regarding work opportunities is also a bit misleading. If you don't have a bachelor's degree and/or experience, you're pretty much excluded from teaching in 99% of the locations they have listed, which makes this a pointless qualification unless you want to teach online or over the phone.”
