“I had a really positive experience with The TEFL Org. The course was well structured, easy to follow, and provided a good balance of theory and practical teaching advice. My tutor was supportive and gave helpful feedback throughout the course. I also liked the flexibility of studying online at my own pace. “As someone who has been teaching English for 4 years to groups of all ages, cultures, and class sizes,online and offline... it was truly surprising to me how much I still learned in this course. It gives honest, practical insight into what is like to be inside a classroom in different scenarios and gives you all the tools you need to succeed. I would recommend this course for any newcomers who are intimidated and don't know where to start, but also to relatively more experienced teachers like me who need some theory to help them contextualize what they see in class. I often follow lesson plans that are given to me by the institutions I work at, but I caught myself pre-class or even in the middle of a lesson trying to implement the methods learned here, especially the PPP method and customising Student Talking Time. I was only going to take this course as a prerequisite for a job opportunity I have, but I ended up being truly grateful for it. I felt like I came out of it a better, more knowledgeable teacher. If I could, I would suggest a module on teaching and correcting advanced writing, such as argumentative essays, creative writing projects, etc. I often struggle with how to point an advanced student in the right direction to develop their writing when they already have good vocabulary and grammar, but struggle to build a long, concise, and well-developed piece of work. It would also be interesting to see a module on the Plateau Effect, especially with upper-intermediate adult students, and how to help them overcome language habits that were not corrected early on, how to challenge them to express themselves differently and how to show them tangibly that they are still progressing (a common insecurity of adults at this level).”

“The course was truly excellent, and I learned a lot from it. In particular, I would like to appreciate the outstanding support from Angie White. She was incredibly helpful, provided very valuable feedback, and answered my questions with great patience and insight. By asking her questions and receiving her guidance, I was able to learn many new things throughout the course. The course itself was also very comprehensive, well-structured, and inspiring. It has helped me improve significantly, and now I have many new ideas that I can implement in my own classroom. There is just one small point I would like to mention — not about the course itself, but about the feedback request email. I think it would have felt more personal and engaging if my name had been included at the beginning of the email. Because the message felt very general and impersonal, it initially gave me the impression that my individual feedback might not really matter, and I found myself wondering why I should participate in the survey. Overall, I would like to sincerely thank all of you for your hard work and support. I truly appreciate the effort that went into creating and delivering this course.”

“Overall, the course is pretty good. I found myself frustrated with a couple of elements, including teaching regional events as if they’re the role across all English speaking countries (nobody in North America puts an ‘r’ at the end of a word that ends in a vowel, yet that was a question in a quiz that was marked wrong). The quizzes sometimes have questions that have not been presented in lecture yet and are often so ambiguously worded that it feels like they’re designed to give you a couple wrong answers. I was also not a fan of the blond, short haired presenter in the methodology section. I personally found her over the top gesticulation, and authoritarian tone when instructing how to manage a class so over the top that when she was in a video, I muted it and just read the copy below. I couldn’t even imagine being stock with her as an instructor for a whole course. Aside from that, the course was great.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the course, and have already recommended it to three colleagues, who are interested in studying for a TEFL qualification. The course materials are insightful, relevant, and interesting. I particularly enjoyed the video sessions, which complimented the theory. I commend the use of multiple choice questions, along with written assignments, as valid and reliable assessment methods, which consolidated my learning. My tutor, Angie White, is a true professional, she gave supportive feedback on assignments, along with suggesting a variety of links to additional resources, for future teaching. Marking turnaround was extremely efficient. I am very interested in getting started as an English teacher with the added bonus of a abroad. I am currently a lecturer, in the UK, so will initially look for short-term contracts abroad, during the summer months. Thank you to everyone at TEFl.org for an excellent, enjoyable, learning experience, with the added bonus of a valuable qualification, which will enable me to make a life changing impact on my future.🌟”

“Having already obtained my TEFL teaching certificate (130 hours) from TEFL Org some 12 years ago and being very satisfied with it and the tutor support it was a natural progression to go with you when I decided on advanced study for EAP teaching and I have to say once again I wasn’t disappointed. The course covered the subject matter extremely well with very clearly presented course notes and extensive continuous assessment throughout the course. The tutor support was equally good with written assignments being marked within the specified time periods with very clear time feedback and encouragement. Altogether another very satisfactory experience.”

“I am glad I took the course. I especially feel the remote teaching class and the large group class could be very beneficial. I like knowing about the PPP and Before, During and After lesson plan structures. I also liked the video recordings of actual classes being taught. I would like to go back and watch these again. I do have a suggestion for improvement: please. onsider including a teaching video that has the parts of the PPP structure actually labeled. This would be so helpful. The part of PPP I found very confusing was the insistence on eliciting meaning and form. I would've liked to see a video representation of this labeled during an actual teaching video. The questioning to elicit meaning without telling was challenging for me.”
