“For the most part, the course was great at providing the information necessary to teach English. I felt that additional reading was somewhat lacking, as was info about other teaching methods; TTT, for example, wasn't focused on much. Reading lists for that stuff could be useful. Final gripe: the near-constant insistance on using ChatGPT in the "Teaching Online" course wore thin pretty fast. In particular, it felt contradictory to every other element of the course. For example, several modules make a point that rules must be consistent between teachers and students. By that logic, a teacher being able to use A.I. opens the door for students to do the same. Aside from these grips, the course was good and served its function well.”

“Despite 20 years' experience teaching English, this course gave me so much more. Even if I choose to use my EFL qualification to teach students at home or online, I feel my horizons have been broadened. Guidance and feedback from the tutors is exceptionally helpful. I was given great tips and tweaks for lessons.You can also download the course if you prefer a paper copy. Plus, you can download your assessments once completed.”

“The course isn't bad, but it is tedious. Lots of busy work and as a seasoned teacher with 23 years of experience, there should be a fast track of sorts. It is more than 120 hours of work and the videos are a bit long and dry. They need to be updated.”

Our course is designed as a TEFL qualification for anyone looking to teach English as a foreign language, rather than as a CPD or refresher course for already-trained teachers. As a result, it covers the core knowledge and skills that someone new to TEFL would need, regardless of their previous teaching experience. The course is also self-paced because everyone works through the material at a different speed. We do offer six months for completion though, so learners have plenty of flexibility to fit their studies around their existing commitments. That said, we appreciate your comments about the amount of work involved and the length and style of some of the videos. “This course was a great experience for me, although I have to admit that completing it wasn’t easy, especially since English is not my native language. During the course, I improved my English grammar, learned more about teaching methods and lesson planning, and gained a better understanding of teaching students online, working with groups, and adapting lessons to different students and their needs. One of the things I enjoyed most was the video lessons from the teachers. It was a very warm and positive experience. This is definitely a course I would recommend to anyone interested in teaching English. It takes time and effort, but you really learn a lot and can genuinely enjoy the process. “Overall, I am quite happy with the course. I find it well organized, and I am satisfied with the structure, materials, and the way the course is presented. However, I would like to share some feedback regarding the main page of the website, particularly the way the course discount is presented. I get that offering a discount can be an effective marketing strategy to encourage more people to purchase the course. However, from a user’s perspective, I feel that the way the discount is presented can be somewhat misleading and not completely transparent. For example, in my case, I saw the course advertised as being on a limited-time discount, so I decided to purchase it even though I had originally planned to wait until the following month. However, when I checked the website the next month, I noticed that the same discount was still available. I think this could be quite disappointing for users who make a purchase because they believe they might miss a genuinely limited-time offer. I would therefore suggest making the terms of the discount clearer or avoiding presenting it as a limited-time promotion if it is going to remain available indefinitely.”

“The course was designed well. For me the writing part was very had because I finished my school many years ago, so I had to rethink my writing skills again. However trying again made me more confident and learned a lot. Completing this course is an amazing achievement for me. My goal is to teach conversational English to people who want to learn for travel, business or any other reason. This class is worthwhile taking and I recommend to anyone interested in. “Very thorough and detailed course, with plenty of repetition so that there's no risk of concepts not sticking. Presented clearly overall, with the odd less than obvious assignment that would benefit from a reformulation and maybe some additional material. Feedback can be a bit too succint in explaining what is being sought for by the examiners.”
