“The TEFL course looks like it was made in the early 1980s. I am disappointed by its level. It can be difficult for people with educational experience to watch and pass it. There is no welcome educational invention, only copying and repeating a few primitive educational techniques. Everything that is not the same as the scheme is wrong. It looks like the tutors don't understand what the educational process is. If I can share my advice for students: do not be creative. Only copy and paste, and you will be a successful student.”

“I think the course is good, there are a few things through. The video observations and the classroom examples videos were good but it would have been better if they were varied, as the course talks about different classroom types, yet doesn’t show it; quite large classes, different layouts, etc. The only variation was really the same group of adults, one on one or young children, no older teens or anything like that. I feel some of the tenses section could have been a little better explained in the articles to be read as reading for some may be taken in better rather than videos (as this may be the case for some). Overall it’s a good course but I am glad I finally completed it 🙂”

“Overall a good course, clear and concise. Approaches the fundimentals well, clear instructions. I had issues with images loading for thew written assignments. Seems to be a problem with MacOS (M1) compatibility. Dee's correspondence and feedback was great. I would suggest a corse on AI in the classroom as thats they way things are going in the teaching industry. Good job and thanks.”

“The course was well structured and presented. Easy to navigate and very accessible. The videos were illustrative and educational, especially those with classroom demonstrations. The assignments and tests really helped practise and consolidate the content and the tutors always marked and returned my work promptly, providing valuable feedback. My only issue is that task instructions were confusing and, at times, discombobulated, and the wording of some test questions was sometimes tricky to comprehend, especially in the Methodology course. Moreover, the word limit often did not match the aim of the task: it is difficult to 'explain, provide examples, advantages and disadvantages' of key concepts in, say, 100 words. All in all, it was a very enjoyable course and I found it very entertaining and useful. I have been a languages teacher for 15 years and found I was learning a lot in every course I have completed.”

“The course is broken down into easily manageable sections. Access to all parts is very user-friendly. The only down-side was that there were too many written assignments to have to submit and these almost always took quite a few hours to complete, so I would say the whole time is probably more than 120 hours (and I am a qualified teacher with 20+ years of teaching, so hopefully already have a good idea on requirements).”

“The class material is very high quality. The instructors really critically think about what works in education, what doesn't work, and why. These classes don't just tell me what to do when teaching, but they explain the mechanics behind effective teaching. This allows me to think for myself how best to teach a class in a given context, even if it is a different environment than shown in this course.”
