Hi Catherine, We send out many keyboards in the same padded bags and have had no issues before. As this is normally enough, we don't over-pack our parcels as we try to be environmentally friendly. Apologies that your parcel was damaged, the tearing of the packaging would be due to Royal Mail during transit, especially during this busy period. I bought this item for my father. It is a good product, easy to use for the elderly, the quality of the output of songs is very good. I have recorded many songs on the device, the only comment I would make is that, unfortunately, when the lid has been closed, the list of songs always goes back to the beginning, so that you have to listen to all the songs again instead of just opening up the lid and carrying on listening from the last song. If this could be addressed it would improve the product.

My elderly mother has started on the Alzheimer's journey so I was searching for things that would help her maintain her independence. I am please to see that TechSilver has a range of products which mum will need along the way. I bought the Landline telephone for dementia but had to return it as it was too basic for mum at this stage. Also bought the motion sensor night light which is excellent and easy to install and use. Miles was very understanding about the return and I was refunded promptly. I will make this service my first choice in future.

Hello Miles, Pleased with the delivery. Overall, my wife is happy with the keyboard. She does have a couple of points she would like me to make on her behalf. On her previous keyboard the Caps Lock On light was bright and clear. On the new one it is very small . She does use the caps lock a lot and being partially sighted finds seeing the "on" light very difficult. The second concerns the hyphen/underline key. The hyphen key is enlarged, which is good but the underline key above it could be larger. Again, with her limited sight she is finding it difficult to distinguish between them. I was very impressed at the speed of delivery (next day instead of 3/4 days). I find the keys take some getting used to, They are so far apart. I love the size of the keys - very easy to see. Thank you.

Bought this tracker for my dad who has dementia and has started to wonder, im am really pleased with it, i have tried other trackers in the past but the battery never lasted, we can get a few days out of this tracker. Would recommend.

TechSilver were very attentive and supportive. Any issues I have are with the watch, which is more a mans watch (my mum does not like it), the battery life is very rarely 7 days, and my mother rarely goes out (once a week, without the watch), so that is not the issue. 4-5 days is about the max before battery warnings appear. GPS needs to be set around 500 metres on Geofence, whereas dedicated trackers are much more accurate, even when set to 100 metres. Repeated false alarms with the watch when it was set around 200-300 metres. We had to buy a second Bluetooth as it would lose signal as she went downstairs in her sheltered accommodation, for lunch. Doro need to work on making a smaller/more attractive watch, and improving the GPS.

Thank you for the positive review! The size of the watch is due to the size of the battery, if the watch was smaller then the battery life would be a lot shorter. The face diameter and thickness are displayed on the product page. The watch has an average battery life of 7 days, this is based upon the wearer going out for an average of 2 hours per day but also how much the watch is used and how often it is tracking the location, which is why we mention the average battery life because we are unable to give an exact estimate. The Geofence needs to be set to a minimum of 500m to avoid any false alarms, this is due to the inaccuracy of GPS indoors. To elaborate, this is because when a tracker is indoors, due to the building materials it struggles to get all 3 satellites required to pinpoint an accurate location, therefore it will be less accurate, this is with all GPS trackers and not just ours. This is stated on the product page. This advanced watch solves this problem by connecting to the home beacon via Bluetooth while indoors, so when the wearer leaves the house, the Bluetooth connection is broken (at around 20m) and it switches to GPS, so you will know when the wearer has left the home and has gone outside. If you set a home beacon exit alarm, then it will alert you when they have left the area. Some houses are larger than the area of the home beacon, so the Mini beacon can extend that area for the house to avoid false alerts. First class service ,the watch is smart and easy on the wrist ,easy to set up in minutes ,however ,with my mum having diementia she dosnt know to press the button when it rings, also i would like the zone radius to 100 meters , 500 meters seems to far for someone eith diementia especially when near main roads other than that happy with product

The GPS Tracking Watch for Elderly you purchased is a great device, However, we have a more advanced Dementia Watch, where the calls can be answered automatically. A Geozone needs to be that size in order to avoid false alerts, this is because GPS indoors is less accurate, therefore the watch may think its outside the Geozone when it's not. The advanced watch I have mentioned has Geozones and also connects to the charging base via Bluetooth, so as soon as the wearer leaves the home then you can be alerted. I like it. Purchase and delivery were quick and easy. I am a little surprised that the cover does not contain a magnetic clasp as sometimes it would seem it is not closing securely but with a couple of tries it does.

The service from TechSilver has been very good but I still have to master how the watch works as a tracker for my husband who has dementia. The pastor of our church set the watch up but I just need to find out a bit better how it works. I am sure it will be fine soon.
