Good all round - the only issue was that the new App does not work on an older Android phone so we had to scramble around to download version 5.99 to get it to work

Thank you. The device took 10 days to reach us in France. The product is good, but I do think that putting the id for the device on the outside of the box is a mistake. I almost threw away the packaging without realising that the id number was on it

Hi Roger, We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Very glad to hear you like the product! I see the parcel took 4 days from arriving in France, to being delivered to you. Deliveries usually reach much further afield (e.g. the USA) in less time, so we'll have to apologise on behalf of the French postal service on this occasion for the slight delay. If the box was misplaced, we'd easily be able to provide you with the ID number, so not to worry if that had happened. But we appreciate the feedback. We hope you enjoy the week ahead!
Doro secure 580 mobile phone for dad. Arrived as stated only gripe was there were 10 instruction manuals in all different languages except English. Just as well this was a replacement phone and I had kept the manual from the old phone.

The mobile phone I bought is exactly like in the picture, the only thing I wasn't aware is that it could only storage 4 numbers. Apart from that it arrive very quickly.

The product page mentions that the device can only call 4 devices and as the device does not have a keypad, we thought this was clear, so apologies if it was not. You can however change the 4 numbers whenever you wish through an online portal. What could we have done better to get 5* from you on this occasion? Enjoy the rest of your week!

Aaron Collie was both courteous and helpful, as was Doro's technical support so thank you. We wanted a 'phone that was easy to use and set up due, in large part, to my husband's recent stroke and the need to make some fundamental adjustments. We are satisfied with the Doro Comfort but the clarity of the playback on the answer machine could be better. We found negotiating the menu frustrating on setting up. The handbook is well set out but perhaps the book's use could be "tested" on individuals who are challenged with minor cognitive and dexterity difficulties.

Just received and tested our system. The cycling over 4 phone numbers worked apart from not revisiting number4 after the first missed call. it has yet to be used in ernest, we await events!

TechSilver Personal alarm arrived promptly. Followed straightforward instructions to download app onto phone and all went well. Easy to connect a second phone as well. Just clipped to a keyring. Can be nearly a mile out when just using the rough location from radio masts in rural areas (but good enough for us most of the time) but selecting GPS mode for an accurate update was spot on. Need to find the ideal compromise of battery life/frequency of updates, but very happy with it so far.

It works well, I have been using it for 5 Days. You can turn it off via the app to save the battery life, but it would be great if you could remotely turn it on via the app as well. That’s the only issue I found with it, like I said it works well, I’ve tried all the settings and the sos alarm it all works.

Hi Michael, Thank you for the positive review. The device does has a 'Sleeping' feature which slows down the updates when the device is stationary to help save battery instead of turning the device on and off constantly. Unfortunately it would be impossible to send a signal to something which is off, hence why i cannot be turned on remotely. In the same way a TV must be on stand by to turn it on remotely, it cannot be off . Have a great day.
Great product and did what you said it would, technophobe wife set it up for her 87 year old mother and works well. She didn’t manage to sort sound bar but minor problem only

Hi David, Thanks for your review! Our TV remote is a great way to making using a TV easier, the remote is for TVs or set top boxes, so I don't think it's supposed to work with sound bars. Can I ask what we could have done better to get 5*?
My original review was very poor, but since then, my criticism and complaint has been dealt with promptly. So I have given a much better star rating to TechSilver. And my initial complaint of not being told that The Doro phone needed WiFi was incorrect.

after a little hiccup, where my small order was misplaced. I rang to enquire if the order had been posted. And the lovely fellow found the order and said he would make sure it was dispatched the same day ,which it was. I received it the day after. Thankyou...….

Excellent product. Does what it says. There are enough options to play with on the App to suit many users' requirements. My view is there is room for improvement as far as the battery is concerned. Having to charge it every other day is an issue for an Alzeihmer/Dementia patient. Similarly they (including elderly people) will find it fiddly to remove the plastic cover and connect it to the USB for charging. All in all though I am happy with the purchase.

The plastic cover over the USB port is to prevent water from getting into the device, which helps it to be water resistant. Have had a little trouble with connection, must be the area where my mother lives, connects when she leaves it’s 50/50 at home
